I'm sure she is. Taylor is with someone who won't love em and leave em. So, is Chelsea. It makes sense for Taylor's new beau to adopt Paisley so that she doesn't have to be let down by the sperm donor. In Aubree's case she's older so she can make that decision for herself and if she decides that she wants Cole to adopt her then it's good for everybody involved. I'm guessing that they'll discuss it with Adam's parents and then discuss it with Aubree to make sure that she really wants Cole to adopt her so that she doesn't have the past disappointments that she's had with Adam.
Princess Emerald not true what creates issues in a relationship is not having a strong male or female (depending on which parent is absent) figure. In this case having her birth father in her life would have caused her to have issues in future relationships because of his inconsistency. She might have questions going up but it won’t ruin future relationships because she has her dad (the man who adopted her) in her life.

Princess Emerald reading your comments gives me the impression that you are a child. What shapes a person is how they are raised. Being around a strong man and woman who show the child a positive healthy relationship is what is most important.
I'm so happy for Chelsea.. if you watched this show from the beginning I mean even 16 and Pregnant you would know how much Chelsea really loved Adam and wanted them three to really work and be a family.. Chelsea cried so many times for him and he treated her so badly... Cole is a heavens sent and he should adopt Aubree Adam clearly doesnt want to be in her life he never did in the beginning I remember in 16 and pregnant he sent Chelsea a foul text saying where are the papers so I can sign over my rights for that mistake.. referring to Aubree.. Ladies Chelsea, Ciara and Eva Marcille are living proof that single mothers can find love again and can find a get man to take care of them and their child... cut ties with that loser and find yourself A REAL MAN
Koko Dizzle well said!! I don’t think any of us will ever forget that horrible text he sent those years ago...my stomach still turns. He knocked up Taylor to piss off chelsea and his plan didn’t work and paislee now has to suffer from that :(
She could still have a relationship with Adam's family even if she decides that she wants Adam to sign over his rights so that Cole could adopt her. My babies dad doesn't have rights to my kids and they still have a relationship with his family and their cousins on that side, I don't think the two necessarily have to go hand in hand.
Cheyenne Donovan I agree with you but I think I could depend on each situation. I wondered if it would hurt her if she only saw her grandparents and not her dad.
@@Megan-ir3ze right, they did say they were planning on talking about it to her and letting her decide because she is older than Paislee, I just meant if she did decide that she wanted that too, and worried about wanting to maintain a relationship at least with his family, Chelsea could keep the lines of communication open. I think she's doing the right thing though leaving it up to Aubree since she's old enough to be aware of the situation and have her own feelings about it. My kids were little, and his family supported me on it. So, even though he didn't want to be there, his family and I have always worked to make sure my kids still had a relationship with that side of the family. I think the only person that would try to undermine it (at least from what Chelsea and Taylor have both said publicly) would be Adam's mom because she blindly supports him no matter what, and would probably remind Aubree every chance she got that Adam is still her dad regardless or try to manipulate that in some way

I believe that Aubree still holds out hope that her bio father will step up, no matter what anyone else thinks or feels its her feelings that matter most, she is a very smart young little lady and just so lucky she has Cole also in her life.
Can i just say she is only teen mom that deserves the world she really jaa shown a clean style single mom way to raise her children she is a roll model...not that im saying to get pregnant at young age but she definitely is someone who deserves praise.
I agree, but i also think Chelsea is incredibly lucky to have such great, loving parents who taught her how to be a stable person and parent. Not everyone is lucky
mulligan's mayhem - I think having helpful parents who supported her and pushed her to get a career really helped. Many of these teen moms already were in bad family relationships when they got pregnant (kailyn is practically orphaned, Tyler and Catelynn’s parents are very screwed up, Brianna, Leah, and Janelle all have divorced moms raising them ). In many ways Chelsea was very lucky her dad was in her life and showed her she could find a great guy (like him) who’s a great dad. It just goes to show how important it is for young girls to have good male roll models in their lives. Aubree is lucky to have Cole as a loving father.
@@lostcontrol1981 Not only that, but many of them had serious problems growing up. Chelsea is a great mom, but her family was wealthy and she had a lot of support. Maci came from a stable family as well. Kailyn had been raped, grew up without a father, and had to deal with so much so young. She clearly had a hard life.
Chelsea and Cole give me hope that true love does exist and no matter what you've been through you can turn it around completely. Congratulations on the new baby, she is blessed with wonderful parents!
This clip confirms everything I was thinking. Chelsea would obviously love for Cole to adopt Aubs but she cannot make that choice, it’s Aubree’s. People LOVE to say Chelsea pushes her daughter to love Cole but clearly you can see she wants it to be Aub’s decision even though she wants him to. I think Adam is not giving up his rights to hurt Chelsea. He was ALL ABOUT the show when she was still in love and heartbroken over him, she moves on and then he’s over it. He’s doing it to make her life harder bc he’s a loser and she found a good man.
This subject is so strange for me!! I think it's really sad. When Chelsea's dad mentioned if something happens to Chelsea, etc. that's why they want him to adopt her. I just think it's so UNFAIR that Chelsea expects Aubree to out of the blue decide she wants to be adopted!! I don't think she should have to choose!! I WAS adopted as an infant. Adoption doesn't erase that Adam's her dad. I don't think the decision about what will happen to Aubree if something happens to Chelsea should be in Aubree's hands ie. in regards to her being adopted! The whole visitation thing with ADam's family strikes me as so strange!! As long as Adam's not doing drugs at his parent's house etc. Why not let him be there when Aubree visits her grandparents? T. J., that’s the thing though, she doesn’t “expect” it. She wants to make sure Aubree knows it’s HER decision if that’s what she chooses. To me, it would be unfair if Chelsea made the decision without talking to Aubree or without letting her decide if that’s what she wants. Are you parent?!? I’m not asking this in a sarcastic or mean spirited way either so please don’t take it like that..as a mom myself, I would do anything and everything I could to protect my kids both physically and emotionally. Adam has repeatedly shown that he doesn’t care about his relationship with his daughter..not to mention the drug use and all the other troubles he’s had but stop and think how Aubree might feel. She knows and has said herself that he never does anything he says he’s going to do. I see what you are saying about him being around even if family is there but what has he done to show any of them that he deserves to get to spend time with her? It’s court ordered he cannot be around bc he never showed to scheduled visitation.. I defend Chelsea so much bc my husband was Aubree over 20 years ago and all the back and forth crap really broke my husband. He’s grown with a family of his own and still has a lot of hate and resentment towards his dad. I’ve seen what it does so I get Chelsea doing what she’s doing.
@@myassisdragon1558 I don't know the law it just seems there must be some other way for Chelsea to legally put her wishes in a will or something. I know in my case once my parents got divorced my mother had legal custody BUT I lived with my father always!! It just doesn't feel right that Aubree "might" feel like she has to make this choice to cut her father out of her life. No matter what, she will ALWAYS have that longing for Adam to be a good father, he may never be. No matter how GREAT Cole is, Adam is her "father." I agree with you that Adam really doesn't care. From the BEGINNING when he called Aubree a mistake Chelsea should have run with it and said OK sign the papers....I understand her "heart" didn't let her do it....too bad. Now she has to deal with this. Hopefully, other young girls and women will see this and choose better fathers for their children!

I do appreciate that Chelsea isn’t going behind her back about it. Honestly though, even if she said out of the blue, “I want Cole to adopt me” Adam isn’t going to just sit back and let it happen. He will all of a sudden have an interest in her life bc like in my original post, he’s doing it to hurt Chelsea. He was alllll about the show when he was playing mind games with Chelsea but she gets over him and finds happiness and now he’s done. @@amakalorraine6213 lol thats not true. Legal is documented. If father's name is on both birth certificates they are legally sisters, blood or not. For instance my mother's dad is her legal parent not birth. This also means her blood half siblings aren't legally her brother and sisters.

The nicest thing Adam could possibly do for Aubree is to give up his rights and let Cole adopt her. He has never been there consistently, he constantly let her down and didn’t show up for her and he has no interest. With Chelsea and Cole - she has a family, she is loved, she is accepted and she is a priority. I feel your decision Chels. And I love how you’re handling it ❤️
I feel so bad for Cole. My stepdad was a real dad, while my father did basically what he felt like doing. Stepdad got the responsibility, dad got to be Dad. It wasn't right, but my stepdad took it in stride. A good man.
Lucky to a point maybe. Imagine never being able to have a normal childhood. Like one that doesn’t involve showing your entire life on tv. At least child actors are only acting a part. But these kids have put their entire lives out there for the world to see. It may not bother them now, but one day when they are older, they might wish/wonder what a normal life would have been like. But you are right, they are lucky too
My heart just breaks for Aubree 😢 It's never ok for a dad to flake on his kids. But thank God that she has Cole in her life. Hopefully she finds peace knowing that although her dad was a deadbeat, Cole actually wanted to be in her life. He has given her the love and been the role model that she always needed.
Aubree is a beautiful little girl who is well adjusted. Hopefully Adam signs over his rights or picks his shit up. She has Randy and Cole and those men both love her more than words. It’s just so heartbreaking that she’s getting older and Adam is still in and out - that damage you can’t repair. He needs to go ASAP
I hope so too, but see, Aubree has already established Adam as her father (even though he has not been there for her physically, mentally, financially, and socially). Because of this, Chelsea and Cole want her to make that decision since she is much older and understands what is going on. What I like about Chelsea and her family is that they try to encourage Aubree to make mends with her father, even though they know deep down that Adam is a low life. They don't want to feed her with any negativity even though he hasn't done anything for her. Also, it's not politically correct to bash a mother or father in front of their kid. My ex-fiance's stepmother did that to him when he was a little boy growing up, and that did absolutely nothing for his self-esteem.
I appreciate you sharing your side-I get Adam being named her dad. Trust me, I understand. However, if he signed over his rights for Paislee and doesn't have much to do with Aubree, then he isn't fulfilling the fatherly role. Aubree needs a father-and yes, Adam is biologically, but Cole is the one involved in her life and he made good points in the video. Aubree can seek out Adam if she chooses when she is older, but seeing as he doesn't care now-she will see that and make her own decision and impression of him. If I were her, I wouldn't want to be involved with him.
@@missvalerie9384 I wouldn't want someone like Adam to be my father either, but unfortunately that's not up for us to decide. Hopefully Aubree will realize that, but if she doesn't, that's that. Sometimes we have to realize that not everyone is the same and that they're not always going to see things the way we do.

The good news for Aubree is that, unlike many girls, she has Cole and Randy to step in where her father should be. Both of them are such good men...plus her mom...i think she's going to be great no matter what!

Benal Ortman she does have full custody:) The thing is Aubree LOVES her dad :( so Chelsea is allowing Adam to see her at a center but he won’t show up and he won’t change just like you said :(
She has full custody already but if something happens to her the aubree goes to Adam automatically instead of staying with Cole and her siblings. That's the real reason an adoption would be necessary imo. But she could keep her relationship with Adam's family easy since Chelsea isn't psycho.
Chelsea has full custody but Adam is on the birth certificate as Aubree’s father. So if she wanted Cole to adopt her Adam would have a say in that until he signed his rights away.
@@bobbij7089 to be fair though I think in that situation Adam would give up his rights and let Cole adopt Aubree instead of being forced to care for Aubree full time. I mean, who lives so close to their daughter and chooses not to see them for months? It's not like they live in separate states.
One of the random things I really like about Chelsea, is you rarely see them eating takeout. She's usually seen cooking or making food. It's a nice change from all the other moms.
I don’t think they’re pushing it for no reason. If something happens to Chelsea then Cole has no rights as a parent. Aubree might end up ripped away from her home and family and end up with Adam, who’s a deadbeat... so for safety it might be better to just have her adopted.

Adam sat there over and over again pissed off that the “show” and “Chelsea” make him look like a bad guy.... now your not on the show at all... you don’t see your daughters, you don’t pay child support STILL, and now you gave up rights to your daughter...... if he gives up rights to aubree easily, I’ll cry. That was your first baby and that’s a different situation..... it’s sad these kids have to go through this.

I am so glad Chelsea found Cole! Aubree father needs a serious wake up call. Out of all the moms, Chelsea is the only one I can stand now. I absolutely adore her. She’s the epitome of a grown, mature woman, hasn’t wasted her time with randoms like all the other moms, and made sure herself and her priorities were straight while she focused on her life and Aubree - apart from any man. That’s what a good role model for women looks like, and is what this show SHOULD be about. I wish her and her family the best in regards to the Adam situation and that whatever happens turns out to be the best thing for all of them. 💕

I think if they ask Adam to give up his rights to Aubree it could really psychologically damage her - knowing her dad didn’t want her and gave her up - in future she could have relationship issues with men. Maybe discussion with a child psychologist about it first.

Chelsea is my favorite teen mom. I always watch teen mom because of her. She found herself a great guy to have kids with. I can’t believe how much Aubree loves Adam she always have hopes she will see him or visit him. She won’t even change her last name. Adam is the worst father I have ever met.
She doesn't even know what adoption means!! The only reason it's been brought up is because Adam gave up his rights to his other kid. Why even PUT this issue onto Aubree?
My dad singed his rights away right before I went to college. It’s so heartbreaking but I was blessed with a dad who raised me from age 4 now. I remember as a kid always wishing I could be adopted but once my dad randomly signed them away when I was almost legally an adult it was the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever dealt with
I'm actually really shocked Adam did that. I know he isn't the best dad on here, but I always hoped he would've gotten it together for his little girls. Can you imagine what Paislee is feeling? Aubree? They will understand this one day for real & how big this actually is. He needs intervention or something.
Chelsea set this whole thing in place by choosing him in the first place to get pregnant by THEN when he showed his true self when she was pregnant and when he wanted to sign over his rights when she was a baby she didn't run with it! I don't see where it makes a difference or is of importance if Aubrey is adopted or not by Cole. She knows here father and her step father who will be everything and more than Adam could ever be. Aubrey is adorable and gentle and Cole will be loved either way.

And even if Aubrey is close to Adams family it shouldn’t matter because they can still have a relationship with her if both parties agree to it l even with adam giving up his rights. Hell even Adam can visit her if he gets his act together of course not legally but they can arrange something for aubreys sake. I personally think he’s had like way too many chances and he just keeps dragging Aubrey along like whatever. And that’s obviously hurting her. Idk i think they need to have a serious meeting with him and tell him that he’s either got to step up, no more empty promises and missed visitation or he can sign over his rights. Yes it will hurt poor Aubrey to hear that her dad signed her away but lets be real that footage of him saying he wanted to sign over rights when she was a newborn is out there and she’s totally going to see it if she hasn’t already. Plus just having him skip out on more and more visits for the next 10 years will hurt her even more! So I’d say get it over with now before she’s older....

But I'm sure there's so much involved and feelings and wording and everything and so on but Adam doesn't want his kids so he may as well do his kids a favor and just walk . Cole is a great dad a stand up guy she is very lucky to have such a great stepfather. I hope one day he does legally adopt her but at the end of the day he is her dad. He is there everyday and loves her just like his own and thats what truly matters. Its really a shame Adam is such a selfish man. Dads put thier children first he has never done that for his girls. She is such a lovely little lady he is the one who is missing out on her life.He wont dance with her at her wedding or be invited to grandkids parties or christmas. Guys like him wake up one day old and frail and alone. No visits no calls nothing no children and grandchildren to love and be loved. The only person he can then blame is himself.
I hope that Cole does adopt Aubrey. It’s obvious he loves her like his own daughter and she loves him as a daddy. Adam just hurts her over and over again. His only concern is his muscles and drugs. 🙄 And any women who’s with him and doesn’t encourage him to be a good father is a piece of shit too in my book.

My babies dad doesn't have rights to my kids and they still have a relationship with his family and their cousins on that side, I don't think the two necessarily have to go hand in hand.

@@Megan-ir3ze right, they did say they were planning on talking about it to her and letting her decide because she is older than Paislee, I just meant if she did decide that she wanted that too, and worried about wanting to maintain a relationship at least with his family, Chelsea could keep the lines of communication open. I think she's doing the right thing though leaving it up to Aubree since she's old enough to be aware of the situation and have her own feelings about it. My kids were little, and his family supported me on it. So, even though he didn't want to be there, his family and I have always worked to make sure my kids still had a relationship with that side of the family. I think the only person that would try to undermine it (at least from what Chelsea and Taylor have both said publicly) would be Adam's mom because she blindly supports him no matter what, and would probably remind Aubree every chance she got that Adam is still her dad regardless or try to manipulate that in some way

mulligan's mayhem - I think having helpful parents who supported her and pushed her to get a career really helped. Many of these teen moms already were in bad family relationships when they got pregnant (kailyn is practically orphaned, Tyler and Catelynn’s parents are very screwed up, Brianna, Leah, and Janelle all have divorced moms raising them ). In many ways Chelsea was very lucky her dad was in her life and showed her she could find a great guy (like him) who’s a great dad. It just goes to show how important it is for young girls to have good male roll models in their lives. Aubree is lucky to have Cole as a loving father.

Maci came from a stable family as well. Kailyn had been raped, grew up without a father, and had to deal with so much so young. She clearly had a hard life.

This clip confirms everything I was thinking. Chelsea would obviously love for Cole to adopt Aubs but she cannot make that choice, it’s Aubree’s. People LOVE to say Chelsea pushes her daughter to love Cole but clearly you can see she wants it to be Aub’s decision even though she wants him to. I think Adam is not giving up his rights to hurt Chelsea. He was ALL ABOUT the show when she was still in love and heartbroken over him, she moves on and then he’s over it. The whole visitation thing with ADam's family strikes me as so strange!! As long as Adam's not doing drugs at his parent's house etc. Why not let him be there when Aubree visits her grandparents? My heart just breaks for Aubree 😢 It's never ok for a dad to flake on his kids. But thank God that she has Cole in her life. I hope so too, but see, Aubree has already established Adam as her father (even though he has not been there for her physically, mentally, financially, and socially). Because of this, Chelsea and Cole want her to make that decision since she is much older and understands what is going on. What I like about Chelsea and her family is that they try to encourage Aubree to make mends with her father, even though they know deep down that Adam is a low life. They don't want to feed her with any negativity even though he hasn't done anything for her. Also, it's not politically correct to bash a mother or father in front of their kid. My ex-fiance's stepmother did that to him when he was a little boy growing up, and that did absolutely nothing for his self-esteem.
I appreciate you sharing your side-I get Adam being named her dad. Trust me, I understand. However, if he signed over his rights for Paislee and doesn't have much to do with Aubree, then he isn't fulfilling the fatherly role. Aubree needs a father-and yes, Adam is biologically, but Cole is the one involved in her life and he made good points in the video. Aubree can seek out Adam if she chooses when she is older, but seeing as he doesn't care now-she will see that and make her own decision and impression of him. If I were her, I wouldn't want to be involved with him.

She has full custody already but if something happens to her the aubree goes to Adam automatically instead of staying with Cole and her siblings. That's the real reason an adoption would be necessary imo. But she could keep her relationship with Adam's family easy since Chelsea isn't psycho.
Benal Ortman full custody is different to signing away your rights to a child. I doubt Adam will do that.
Chelsea has full custody but Adam is on the birth certificate as Aubree’s father. So if she wanted Cole to adopt her Adam would have a say in that until he signed his rights away.

I don’t think they’re pushing it for no reason. If something happens to Chelsea then Cole has no rights as a parent. Aubree might end up ripped away from her home and family and end up with Adam, who’s a deadbeat... so for safety it might be better to just have her adopted.

That’s what a good role model for women looks like, and is what this show SHOULD be about. I wish her and her family the best in regards to the Adam situation and that whatever happens turns out to be the best thing for all of them. 💕

My dad singed his rights away right before I went to college. It’s so heartbreaking but I was blessed with a dad who raised me from age 4 now. I remember as a kid always wishing I could be adopted but once my dad randomly signed them away when I was almost legally an adult it was the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever dealt with

I wish Adam would just sign over his rights! But I'm sure there's so much involved and feelings and wording and everything and so on but Adam doesn't want his kids so he may as well do his kids a favor and just walk . I hope her and Paisley one day have some kind of a relationship since they are sisters but probably not.
Cole is a great dad a stand up guy she is very lucky to have such a great stepfather. I hope one day he does legally adopt her but at the end of the day he is her dad. He is there everyday and loves her just like his own and thats what truly matters. Its really a shame Adam is such a selfish man. Dads put thier children first he has never done that for his girls. She is such a lovely little lady he is the one who is missing out on her life.He wont dance with her at her wedding or be invited to grandkids parties or christmas. Guys like him wake up one day old and frail and alone. No visits no calls nothing no children and grandchildren to love and be loved. The only person he can then blame is himself.

I hope that Cole does adopt Aubrey. It’s obvious he loves her like his own daughter and she loves him as a daddy. Adam just hurts her over and over again. He doesn’t want anything to do with his kids. His only concern is his muscles and drugs. 🙄 And any women who’s with him and doesn’t encourage him to be a good father is a piece of shit too in my book.
