- The tower outside of the control room on the final mission of Halo 3 is one of the most grandiose structures in the entire game. But despite being the setting for one of the most impactful moments of the entire Halo series, the majority of this structure is completely off-limits to players. And even though Halo 3 was released in 2007, I've never seen a single video of someone exploring the entirety of this tower. My goal is to change that.

how did the ghosts get all their health back? When you were getting them up on the ledge they were damaged, but at 5:48 they all look pristine?
@@JWBLegend I recorded in theater and unfortunately restarting the mission doesn’t separate the mission into a new film. So basically that’s why it doesn’t match

Honestly, I love the breaking of these maps. What could be interesting is trying to look at the geometry using tools though to get a visual representation. Might be a good alternative. Like a map editor/viewer if he's on PC. Not too sure though.

I miss the old days of halo 3 campaign all nighters. My childhood best friend passed away a couple years ago and it's all we used to play when we were kids. These videos remind me of the dumb shit we would do in campaign. We were never this good at tricks, we loved to mess with each other and push each other off the maps, throw grenades and hit each other with the hammers.
God rest his soul.
Same here man. We would play customs for days. Playing games like 3 and reach in their prime is something this new generation won’t get the joy of doing. Cherish those times🙏
Same but for halo 2. Me and my friend would play for hours doing all sorts of glitches and running around outside of the maps. Sadly, he moved and we no longer could do this. And at around 16 years of age, he had demons who won. I miss him badly, he was an awesome dude. Still hurts today nearly a decade later, because I don't know why he decided to let the demon win inside of him to take himself out of the game of life.
Whenever I randomly hop on halo 2, makes me think of those days.

this is what happens when you let people explore what you make. People are still making videos of these games almost 20 years after they came
Easier these days to just make games about spending as much money as you can
They had passion back then. These games were extensions of what their souls felt and envisioned. They delivered us worlds with a lore that didn't break or contradict itself. Worlds we wanted to be in. These were no longer just games, these were works of art.

It almost seems like the map was intended to be longer and bigger! Great Find!
It seems Bungie retained and left the Nav Mesh inside the map even after removing all the other parts of it.
Nav mesh is different from regular collision mesh as it applies solely to terrain for those whom maybe wondering.

I remember trying to beat whole level from the point of getting a gravity hammer onward but it was mostly futile work, just a young kid blasting " No World for Tomorrow" (Album) and gaming I loved to because you could have a USB with music and play it on the 360 while you game. Was some of the best times growing up!

Are you aware of the mod that fixes H2v by the way? I was still playtesting it when I quit gaming but it was basically done and I'm sure viable now, might be good for some videos on PC utilizing the original xbox physics.

The part about the Gravity Hammer with the 343 Guilty Spark room actually isnt true. You can bring it in the room & still leave with it but its riskier than what you do here & probably isnt worth doing if you are trying to do what you are doing. Because if you arent fast enough then you will lose it & you cant revert chackpoint to get it back but you can bring it in the room & leave with it because thats actually part of the speedrun world record.
