    Houston should have drafted him. I'm sure he would have had a much better career. A lot of times players like Young don't work out because of the situation they are drafted in. If Tom Brady were to get drafted by the Browns I'm sure he would have never even made it to his 5th season.

      MikeBNumba6 Tom Brady is a bad example, he would have been good where ever he landed, it just would have taken him longer, the thing that makes tom Brady tom Brady is why he would have had success any where and the pats were the browns. A better example is Dak or Russell Wilson

    • @MikeBNumba6
      @MikeBNumba6 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      SuperJohn12354 Tom Brady is a good example. Tom would have probably would have never started if Drew Bledsoe didn't get hurt. Tom easily could have been a career back up. Not to mention the first super bowl run he had, he had a lot of help from his defense.

      MikeBNumba6 you're SURE? Don't give him that much credit. He failed himself, his discipline was his problem.
      Brining him home would caused more problems. Look at what going home did to so many stars. To say a undisciplined man will be the exception is a reach.
      If teams had issues connected to your last name own it, till this day he's running from it, that why he never got another chance.

    The common thread with Vince and Ricky Williams is that, aside being from the same university, they had the talent to take over a game and win single-handedly. All they needed was a system that would allow them to. Let them be themselves and do their thing. Coaches though have a set system that players can follow, or leave. Thats a flaw in the NFL.

    It's sad when a person keeps blaming others for their lost opportunities. I could see VY blaming the situation once for his problems, but he played for like six teams. Not a single one of them were right in their assessment of him? And now the team in Canada that cut him? The problem isn't only him, it's his family not stepping up and telling him that he needs to change to succeed as an NFL player. They all just agreed and supported his excuses, and that's why he blames everyone for his problems. This should be a cautionary tale to anyone that wants to make it, focus on yourself and don't blame others as it will not lead to anywhere good.

Does Warren moon, Doug Williams or randell Cunningham ring a bell? There stats will speak for themselves. A couple have won the superbowl anyway so your theory doesnt hold up. Qb is mainly dominated by white players so it is a lot more common to see a white one win but that is changing. Ultimately, VY'S career was cut short because of his own mistakes and poor choices...but I'll always wonder that big What If? What if Houston drafted him. That didn't exactly have a successful QB anyway, so it's not like they had anything to risk. Vince is simply not a very smart dude but he was a winner and had football skills that can't be taught. I honestly think that if he has been in Houston, with his family near him he may have been smarter with many of his decisions. Also, I genuinely believe that Jeff Fisher wanted Vince to fail from day one. Fisher is a terrible coach, but he also did a terrible job of managing VY. The man would bench VY in the middle of games when the team was still able to win and had playoff potential. You never see any other coach do that. Then he'd start him again the next game as though nothing happened. That messes with your QB's mind and it messes with the rest of the teams confidence. That's the tough part about pro sports, if you boss hates you and you hate him....you can't just go somewhere else like most jobs. You have to just deal with it. At the end of the day, Vince simply wasn't mature enough to handle it.

      You can get away with a lot of crap as a receiver or a running back, but the QB has to be the man. Vince Young has not appeared to be the man in the NFL. Rookie QBs who act like the coach is the problem are not mature enough to play QB in the NFL. Young did great at Texas. Too bad he didn't realize he needed to grow up to play in the NFL. Black culture might have something to do with his attitude and his family's attitude, but Ryan Leaf, Matt Leinart, and Art Schlichter are white as can be and couldn't grow up enough to make the pro grade either.

      Frank Rhodes oh get fucked. He's a head case that wasn't very skilled as a pro. I blame culture, yes that's right, culture. What do all these black QBs have in common. They all run around like mad men. I can see some HS coach in some inner city saying you got to be better than whitey, you got to be bigger and turn more heads and stand out. Truth is, all you need to do is study and watch film and run the plays. I don't think anyone in the league runs slower than Brady, but he stays in the pocket, makes his reads and delivers dimes. Rodgers moves around but still wants to make a throw and avoids abuse. Vick, RG3, they're all hurt from getting hit, they all ran shot gun ride and decide offense in college. Freakin check with me doesn't work, that just means the coach was reading the defense or the QB has to read 1 player only. Winston will win a trophy in Tampa, maybe Dak in Dallas. Young and Kap are terrible. At least Vick had arm talent and wanted to throw. When he ran it was because his line sucked. Just my opinions
