Does it ship with 8 USB-C TO USB-A dongles so customers can use all the ports? Or 1 multi, so you end up only using 1 of the 8 ports because 90% of tech ends on a USB-A🤣🤣
An all USB-C MOBO is an inconvenience I don't want to have to deal with, way too much tech would need upgrading, even now 90% of my tech ends on a USB-A including my mouse and keyboard, for that matter, every wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard would need a dongle for their dongle!, and with using dongles, the question ''what's the point?'' comes to mind.
@@2.5k_ping56everyone is saying USB C is ‘better’ but how? The average person uses USB for only a few things, Keyboard, Mouse, and Flash drives. USB 3.0 Flashdrives are already fast enough for 99% of people and you don’t need fast transfer speeds for keyboards or mice. USB C is an overhyped feature that tech reviewers have spent the last 5 years telling you it’s something you ‘need’ when most people don’t care!
Full usb-c is bold choice, but i like it. The aqua board is expensive enough that buyers are rich enough to upgrade anything they have that isnt usb-c already. I myself use a docking station which is much more convenient to use with a desktop rather than reaching behind the tower. Plus i already have a type-c keyboard, DAC (audio), microphone, all my game controllers, webcam. Eventually I'll replace mouse and there are always cheap otg adapters for anything that uses usb-a. The more usb-c ports there are, the more accessories we'll get with type-c.
No thanks. This seems like a massive headache in the process. You'll have to get a ton of adapters to have on hand. Just to get a basic setup working, you need two USB ports just for the keyboard and mouse.
Yes better than that non reversible standard USB. USB C should've been the ultimate connector regardless if it's usb 2 3 3.1 3.2 and 4(thunderbolt). I blame companies that manufacture pc peripherals whether it's the smallest of usb thumb drives to the largest of printers for not embracing it earlier enough.
Those are likely to get usbc versions before long with the usb c connector laws in the eu, the manufacturers will probably cut down on regional suspension by going all usbc.
The biggest problem with a USB-C desktop is that there is a complete lack of USB-C devices to work with desktop. I've been looking for a USB hub for years and can not find anything. I want a USB-C port(removable cable) to connect to the tower, and then 6-10 USB 3.0 A ports. I can find several that have USB 3.0 B, but nothing with C. All of that USB-C hubs on the market are made for laptops and have a 6-12" cable wired to the device.
the CAMM2 is VERY interesting if we can get them in 6000+ MT's and 96GB versions (that's what I was looking for in a dual stick DIMM setup so if I can get that in CAMM2 on ITX... then thumbs up all USB-C? Arhh.... not yet... but with atleast 4 USB-A then go all crazy for USB-C... It is about time we get a bigger push to move over to USB-C
You know? I don't actually hate what asrock is doing with this. Rn as far as connection ports go the indestry is kind of in a comfortable place so no ones really tries to push anything? So there's no incentive for the accessories brands to start updating their headers. (Tho some do that anyway here and there) so stuff like this can serve to push the standard forward

why not have both... mouse and keyboard are USB-A. there are many devices that doesn't require USB-C... this is a dumb move have atleast 4x USB-A and then make the others USB-C if you want and there is a reason people connect mouse/keyboard on the back, usually there are usb ports directly connected to the CPU and in theory they are lower letancy... dongle is the only option? but whatever, its only on one mobo
All USB type C is just a pointless hassle to deal with. Two to all four 5 Gbps USB ports could be USB type A. Heck, throw in four USB 2.0 type A ports for slow devices for good measure. Could fit it all in there and still have 6 USB type C, for 10, 20 and 40 Gbps, two per.
really we should be phasing out usb-a, and b for printers and other decives and just be using c. I cant wait to be in a world were everything is just usb c and this is the first step. At least i havnt seen a micro usb device in a few years, i fucking hated micro usb
The universal USB-C is not ideal for some peripherals; for instance, XBOX controllers may not be compatible. I prefer to connect them to the back of my PC to avoid the mess of wires dangling from the front of my case, which can make even a $4500 setup look like trash.

silly?
They are actually pretty innovative, they are not afraid of doing bold things like the LiveMixer designs.
The elderly folks on here might remember the Abit IT7 MAX, which took the unheard of step of having only USB-A - no Serial, no Parallel, no PS/2.
"like" says the boomer.
Ahh, Legacy Free PCs, the next big thing in 1998.
no PS/2 that will never sell
All those are still in use just not on the consumer side 😂.

Imagine if it had ps/2 ports instead 😂
Right? Like we obviously need at least 2.
@@scottg7321 That's a good point. I'd like to see an all ps/2 port mobo instead of usbc
