Feel free to add your questions down below. I do have HUNDREDS of requests, but I usually shoot just a few videos a month...so you MIGHT get lucky!
I make videos for EFL/ESL students. I'm from the US and my teaching focuses on American pronunciation and American culture. I hope my videos help you out^^ I love constructive criticism, but keep it nice!
Almost 10 years ago, yet still a great class on such a useful topic. Thanks for sharing.

"If you can say it , you can hear it" , that's the truth! I've been practicing English pronunciation and listening for 6 months , a year ago I couldn't understand what Native American speakers was saying to me , but once I started to learn these pronunciations my English got better than before, at the moment I can actually understand what people is talking about , tho I have some mistakes still, like grammar , but you know, you can improve them just practicing , thanks for the videos and you just earn yourself +1 subscriber :)
I laughed when you said "don't finnish the D, I'd go, I'd Go", but it was the best way I could feel the vibration of the sound. Thanks a lot.

Thank you so much. I have been always struggling with these contractions.
Thank you so much! I didn't know how to pronounce the '' 'd '' sound. You helped me so much :)
Great!!
Thanks Shane. The lesson is helpful. Would like to know when to connect the sound d and r and when not? In the example: "He'd read" is connected while in "they'd read" is not? Thanks a lot!

subscribed ^^. it's hard to get but....
the repetition with correction to the exhaustion, takes to the perfection. Thank you so much teacher ^^
great lesson, but I still have a question, what about when the following verb starts with D ? for example "I'd do" or "they'd done"? would I say just like "I do" or "I done"?
Really, really good way to learn correct native pronunciation, thanks a lot for your help
you are doing an awesome job..keep up the good work
6:54 So, how to pronounce words with double "T" in the middle like "better", "watter", "bottle"? I always hear the sound "D" in these words: "beDer", "woDer", "baDl".
Sorry if it's been asked before, or covered in one of the previous lessons. All I found is the video about short vowels in "better" and similar words. While I am interested in consonants this time.
If I look pesky with my questions, please let me know. I just got a bit too much excited having found such a brilliant channel and an opportunity of getting answers to the questions that tortured me for years and decades. Need some time to get used to it :)
same with "whatever" - what's that consonant sound in the middle: "D", "R", or some sort of a crossbreed sound? "whaDever" "whaRever"
Wow! Amazing teacher!! And coach 👍🏻😉 I was looking something about I’d and your video popped up! I’m so glad I found you!! 👍 have a nice day
Super Fantastic!!! Contraction is one of the things I'm really struggling with as I study English. Thanks a lot. CoachShane
very helpful, "don't finish D" "just feel the vibration of the throat". are important, no teacher mentions it.
Wondering how you'll pronounce the sentence "you'd been there?". What I mean is whether the "n" sound and the "th" sound is linked. And because it's a question, how would we raise the tone at the end of the sentence?
Very useful.ever met this kind of lesson before.Particularly, in the pronunciations.
Thank you !
what a funny teacher
Hahah you're my idol, keep up the great work!
Hahaha. You're a great teacher. I've learned a lot by watching your videos. Congratulations!!!
He is an excellent teacher
this video is still helpful in 2020. thank you!
Thanks Coach!!!
What about "I'd do" or "They'd done"? How we pronounce that?
Link the d consonant
So , it don't has how knows
thanks teacher , could you make a video about "that" , sometimes we cant hear it
Thanks for the video. I didn't get why shane'd or dad'd are pronounced differently, how can we know when to add that vowel sound?
Thanks!
How do I differentiate between the "D" if it is of would or had?
You're so good thanks for everything
Hi , sir ; What about THAT'D ?
How is it porunced?
I have a question. How we connect the sound /s/ or /z/ to a word begins with /r/? I find it very hard to pronounce.
You're a very good teacher.
I'm Taiwanese .sudents in Taiwan have regular education had learn English for least 6 years . the fact is we never taught to pronounce in the right way.
Wow thanks so much! I'm learning English 'cause I'm Italian, and my worst doubt was the "you'd, I'd" pronounce :D
Hi! My name is Cherry. I am from Vietnam. Could you help me how to make stop sounds such as /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/,... at the end of words, please? because I would like to make my speech become smoother. Hope to hear from you. Thank you.
I admire your method
Hi Teacher!
Please help me to know different from "keep silent" or "keep silence".
Thank you so much, my good teacher!^^
Is this sound similar to a glottal stop but with vibration of the vocal cords?
The vibration happens UP TO the stop. The stop could happen in the glottal region, but the Stop D sound is usually on the alveolar ridge.
Your such a great teacher..Thanks a lot.
I really enjoy your classes!. Thank you!
If it don't finish the d sound how do I get to understand it ?
Love you Shane !
Thank you very much!!
coachshanesesl how I pronounced asked them
Thanks a lot. I often listen to English, sometimes I hear "in that" sounds like "inat" and "of us" like " ovus". Please explain it.
Thank you so much for the brilliant video! Now I'd better go to do "perfect practice".
Wow , it's amazing contraction 👏🇮🇳
Your lesson has cleared many doubts... Can you please tell me how to pronounce that'd...
And yes, I'll be thankful to you if you could tell me how and when to use 'can and could', 'will and would', 'shall and should'
Can anybody tell me what Shane said in the beginning of the video? plz~
What's the difference between men and man?
When it'd be the contraction form of would or had then how to know that it would be had or would?
It’s difficult pronunciation for me. How tips
You'd be great teaching English in Dominican republic. Yeah I think I got it 🙌🏻🙌🏻🇩🇴🇩🇴
Thank you great sensei. But my question is, why'd you use these shortened versions at all? You just add 3 letters and everyone can understand you more clearly. Theres not a big difference, theres no need to shorten it, thats what i dont understand. Someone can help me with the reason?
everytime whene i'm watching your videos, I check the subscribe button to make sure that i am subscribed, love it, thank you

Thank you coach Shane! Very helpful! But I have another question, could you please tell me how to pronounce "Will you" and "Until you"?
Good night Shane. By the way nice pinky shirt!
Thanks for the video sir,
But it's too difficult to pronounce "It'd", when i tried it sounds like "it did".. It is hard because "it" ends with consonant letter and also "they'd" because "they" ends with "y" in it.
Thank you
