  • In this video I show you how I increase 1 stitch using a backwards loop, which is abbreviated as INC1.
    This is great to use when you're increasing stitches in the middle of your work.

    this was so helpful (especially watching you make a bunch of loops in a row)! Are you knitting in a continental style when you starting knitting those backwards loop cast on stitches? it looks different than how I knit (which I believe is english)

      I'm so glad you found it to be helpful! Thank you for letting me know :) I am knitting in the continental style. It's quite a bit different than the english method, which I never learned, but I see a lot of videos here on TH-cam :) I like see all the different knitting styles.

    Any chance you could do a video showing how to do an INC1 backwards loops using English-style knitting? I am having a hard time understanding it.

      Hi Kristy, I'm so sorry, but I don't know how to knit English-style. Maybe someone else has a video :)
