You have to love how they avoid telling people that their phones won't actually fit in the charger.
Hey mini. my iphone xs max doesn't fit in it. is it so difficult to make the size bigger? Can you respond to this. thank you
Why would you design a phone charger that won't fit an extremely popular model (e.g. iPhone 6 Plus/7 Plus)? The retention piece won't retract far enough. It seems most of the larger smartphone models (including my Nexus 6) will not fit, either, as they are too long for the bracket.
Same problem here (Galaxy S8+) - The only place where "Mini" really is "Mini"
Yes another cool idea ,,from mini if actually was more universal, just like mirror apps only compatible with Apple not android. Blahh
Pointless, how do you take the tray out to create more storage, would be a more useful video as it is not suitable for larger phones
I'm so disappointed my iPhone 6+ and husbands iPhone 7 doesn't fit. Ugh! Is there a fix available for this?

It's ridiculously small, lots of large phones simply don't fit or you have to remove the case

does wireless charging my phone replace the need to plug it in for carplay? or does it even need to be plugged in to the car for carplay to work in the first place? (i know some bmw’s have wireless carplay)

So I have the latest and greatest iPhone 12 Pro Max that just came out, now I bought the latest and greatest 2021 JCW Countryman, you would think Mini could come up with a way to make their phone chargers compatible or adaptable to accommodate the larger and newer phones! Spending over $50 K this really is upsetting! 😢👎
My iPhone 11 and iPhone 8 both fit, but they get uncomfortably hot and charge at essentially a trickle rate. It’s unfortunate, but I don’t want to reduce my phone life due to excessive heat.
I recently got a 2021 clubman. my iPhone 11 doesn't fit may I ask if all years are the same size.
My phone holder expands to hold different sized phones. Have you tried moving the front or rear of your holder?

Where do I buy this? The MINI website has all older 3G model phones. The MINI dealerships in my area can't seem to locate any updated information.
This feature is only available on 2017 and newer MINI Countryman and MINI Clubman models.
@@MINIUSA I have a 2019 convertible and my Android Note 9, nor my husbands iphone 7 plus wont fit. Kinda crazy, since all if the new phones are large . Also is there a way to make mt android compatible???
@@MINIUSA same here, we got now a 2020 model, and its still too small to fit any phones anyone in the family has ever owned the last 3 generations of phones... how come it's not made larger with the new models when clearly Mini must be aware the feature simply does not fit most Mini-owners phones...? very sad that an excellent sollution like this is turned to wasted space when all there would be needed is for the moving part to extend just a cm longer...
now my concerns that the iphone 12 mini may be too small to fit the mini's charger.

Hi Daniel, this option is currently available in the MINI Countryman and Clubman when equipped with the Technology or Fully Loaded package. A retrofit isn't possible at this time.
iPhone XR fits only without cover.
11 months and I still have not received an answer!!! Why not make your charger bigger or option adapter. More than half of the phones are larger than standard size. Why don't you listen to our mini ??? If you continue like this, you will lose a lot of customers. I already have my 2nd mini jcw f57 but 3rd could possibly be another car !!!
My Samsung S7 was charging very slowly and the phone overheated significantly. I will not be using this charging station!
