Well, you can of course see it that way , but then again you can create a ton of characters and also additional accounts. So having more stash tabs is more of a luxury.
you just kep a little space like 5 x 5 and save all youur ilevel 60 plus rings and ammys and when it fills u get a mule until u have a ton of rare rings/ammys and then u keep armors gloves boots and belts and helms and then u vendor it for chaos(if 20 quality all it gives u 2 chaos)so keep scraps
I semi agree with this, it's a pretty indirect "pay to win' but I can't collect the amount of things I would like to like Kripp does because I just don't have the space so I have to make decisions on which items are really most important and just let the ones that I'd like to keep but don't make the cut go
You are absolutely right but the number of character is limited so in the end i still bought premium stashs. Honestly, the guys of GGG deserve to earn a living for listening to their player base
a beginner doesn't need more than 4 stash tabs, someone who plays a lot has to spend 20 bucks for extra tabs ( which are not really required, only if you want to do all that gear micro management) I think it is very reasonable.
I am happy about the free to play thing, even if they gives me only one stash tab. The thing is free!!! All you get is free, so there is no reason to complain, I think. As I play (3 years old workstation notebook I gets sometimes 5 fps) it ok as it goes. You want more? Pay as much as you want, it is very fair I think.
2 weeks of IN GAME TIME is 14x 24 = 336 hours, please try to understand, as this is the second time I'm pointing it out. In 336 hours i can fill up 4 tabs with 5L/6L items, uniques, gems and currency EASILY.
The fact I don't agree doesn't make anything you are saying true either. 1. Define good. Really how many 5L/6L Chaos Orbs GCPs do you have to fill up four tabs quickly, especially in this 2 week example? 2. Yeah it's a silly example to use because if you played 24/7 you wouldn't fill it up 3. If they're both vendoring it at the same rate, the guy with the extra tabs has zero advantage. Also currency takes up very little room, and there's all sorts of recipes to condense stuff.
Thats abuut it :) I knew he was canadian but this is the first when i could really hear the stereo typical thing :D Im from the eu so i cant spot these that easy
In that case that case you kinda destroyed your own argument " The definition of pay to win is when players are capable of receiving any conceivable advantage from the gaming company by opting to pay any amount of real money." You dont have to buy stash tabs since you can make more accounts for FREE and get the space FREE
5 rares give you one rare with the LOWEST itemlevel between them... very important if you keep rares while levelling a new character... you might be rolling a low level item.
So basically the "cost of the game" is defined by how much money you feel is a fair amount of money to spend on the game? What about the people who are only okay with spending $10? Or the people who are fine with spending $300? Your reasoning for why stash space doesn't make a game pay2win seems crazy to me because the situation I described above is the definition of pay2win.
Well I don't agree for the following reasons: 1. Most things in the game are not worth picking up at all so the power of stash tabs is trivial 2. A race is not a good example for the argument you're making because a race is temporary, if the stash tabs help anywhere it's in a permanent league. 3. A good player wouldn't throw it away, he'd at least vendor it and get some benefits from it, whereas the guy holding onto the stuff in tabs won't see any benefits unless he does the same.
People do not like what I wrote because its true. Last try, if you play this game every other day, on more than one toon, are actively grinding and upgrading, and cannot afford a 1 time purchase of stash tabs - then you are cheap and dont deserve to argue otherwise.
Okay so with that mentality, let's say the company starts selling currency items tomorrow. Then it becomes normal to buy that shit all the time and everybody is doing it. Now in order for you to keep up with them, you have to buy currency too. You can still play on equal footing with everyone else as long as you pay some money. Do you still consider it the cost of the game?
How is it not? Let's have 2 players do a race. One player starts with 4 stash tabs and the other one with 50. Now let's give them both 2 weeks in game time. At the end of this time the player with 4 stash tabs will have a full stash and has to throw stuff away and the player with 50 tabs will have way more items, currency, gems etc. He is "winning" because he "payed" for more stash tabs
Yea u can have like up to 30 mules but fuck that i just paid like 40 bucks for mad stash space and a pretty crown, i consider it the cost of the game. So make mules, pay a bit of money, or QQ those are your options
Ridiculous, buying stash tabs is purely just for practicity. You can perfectly play the game without buying tabs. That's what i did for 6 months and i had at that time several 80+ characters.
Honetly those chaos recipes are still so bad. Esp now that the items have to be over 60, there is a very high chance for example that in the 5 rare boots you take to get that 1 chaos orb from the recipe, one of the boots will easily be worth more than 1 or 2 chaos. You just gotta take the time to sell it.
I'm going to explain why you're wrong. Stash tabs are not pay to win because you could simply create mule characters to hold your stuff, or if you really need the space, there's nothing GGG is doing to stop you from creating alternant accounts. Stash tabs are simply a quality of life purchase.
336 hours means nothing, in 1000 hrs most players won't even find one 5L, and very few accounts have all 20 qua gems. Seriously check the forums, most people are poor. I have to trade to get anything good myself, and I have to do a lot of work to get trade fodder esp after chaos nerf. You have better RNG or just some awesome IIR or IIQ gems or both. The system accounts for everyone not just people with good luck. For most players the extra tabs are just for trash.
I'm not sure how you concluded that the 420scrub above you was describing the game as "Pay to win". Your definition of what "Pay to win" is not correct because true Korean F2P games are the only examples of such garbage. PoE is a game based on item grinding and passive min/maxing. If it was truly "Pay to Win" then items would be purchased to help achieve that main focus. As it stands, you pay for item stash convenience which functions as an investment over the long run.
You not agreeing doesn't make it less true 1. It doesn't take long at all to fill 4 tabs with good shit. 2. Really , you think an imaginary race that I used as an example with 2 WEEKS TIME IN GAME isn't a good example ,lol. 3. Both players will of course be vendoring all the crap and only holding on to gg items, gems and currency. And you can only vendor so much before your 4 tabs are full.
Well, you can of course see it that way , but then again you can create a ton of characters and also additional accounts. So having more stash tabs is more of a luxury.
Go to the official website, login and go to the "Shop" tab on the website. Then to Account Features and you can get an extra tab or name change etc.
why did you stop playing?
i wish that the stream could be more like these videos in terms of explanation...
Krip your next video - which is more accurate poeex or exilestats and what do you go on?
you just kep a little space like 5 x 5 and save all youur ilevel 60 plus rings and ammys and when it fills u get a mule until u have a ton of rare rings/ammys and then u keep armors gloves boots and belts and helms and then u vendor it for chaos(if 20 quality all it gives u 2 chaos)so keep scraps
Couldn't agree more, I was just highlighting a workaround for those not willing to!
I'd like to know too.
Is it keyboard macro ? Because as far as I know there is no hotkey for tabs.
Hey kripp, why is fork crap? When i was playing around with LA, fork seemed to be doing more than chain
Does it do anything if you do 1 of each gem with a ring? I'm guessing not since he didn't show it, but just curious!
kripp how did you get so many tabs in your stash? is it a reward from something? i still only have 4 tabs
you should do the alc recipy too, really good way to waste some armor scraps and get better gear for a leveling char
isn't the stash shared between characters on the same ladder?
LOL 5:58. Can you tell me again what this is "About"?
You can create lvl 1 characters and fill their inventory with items. It's like having extra stashes and for free too.
I semi agree with this, it's a pretty indirect "pay to win' but I can't collect the amount of things I would like to like Kripp does because I just don't have the space so I have to make decisions on which items are really most important and just let the ones that I'd like to keep but don't make the cut go
Because more stash tabs help you progress your damage and survivability in the game.. GENIUS.
You are absolutely right but the number of character is limited so in the end i still bought premium stashs. Honestly, the guys of GGG deserve to earn a living for listening to their player base
are there any recipes for potions?
how do you take stuff out of your inventory without dragging out?
Is there a release date yet?
God, man, i love you for these videos.
what about 3 of the same maps to get one with +1 to lvl cebdor recipe?
Actually it kind of is. However, you can make tons of characters which gives you an alternative, though that is incredibly tedious.
i think its better to keep rings and amus for the 1 chaos you can make instead of gathering 5 and get a new one
What do you do if you have 4 stash tabs?
a beginner doesn't need more than 4 stash tabs, someone who plays a lot has to spend 20 bucks for extra tabs ( which are not really required, only if you want to do all that gear micro management) I think it is very reasonable.
Kripp, i want to see you on the game station podcast!
why is kripps stash so big?
I caught a rather Canadian "thats aboot it" at the end there.
There are so many bad combination of stats or low numeric values that those items are nowhere near getting sold.
What's also really sad, that this is the case under every single video in whole youtube, which has more than 10,000 views...
Depends on where you live, I bought the stash tabs and that costs me 60 bucks here.
What does the ilvl become when selling 5 rare items of the same type when they all different ilvl? Any one know?
how? microtransactions?
Description written by a wise man
Pray tell, how is the stash tab pay to win then?
Explain "Chrewlers"

Nice vid, but the vendor recipe doesn't work anymore.
5 rares give you one rare with the LOWEST itemlevel between them... very important if you keep rares while levelling a new character... you might be rolling a low level item.

It's called paying for comfort not for winning
Holy shit this was helpful, why didn't I know this? Thanks Kripp!
There's an uni that teaches spamming? Now, that explains a lot!
I wish I could turn the $60 I spent on pre-order D3 on more stash tabs... Q_Q
How is it not? Let's have 2 players do a race. One player starts with 4 stash tabs and the other one with 50. Now let's give them both 2 weeks in game time. LOL I had no idea of these recipes thanks.
4:11 for 1080 Jeweller's Orbs and 540 Chromatics
Yeah it's almost as if it's been thought of and done before for the last 15 years in Diablo II. :D
Yea u can have like up to 30 mules but fuck that i just paid like 40 bucks for mad stash space and a pretty crown, i consider it the cost of the game. So make mules, pay a bit of money, or QQ those are your options
id rather pay 20 for the convenience and to support GGG as well for such an awesome game
Although you are getting downvoted by everyone, you are right. It's less pay to win than in most games, but more than GGG should want.
Kripp tip: Surpass your friends. Who needs those fools.
i think he meant crap as in not valuable. and its not valuable because its easy to get. its like one of the first support gems you get as ranger.
To be fair, 20$ is quite cheap for a "game" Console games are 40-60 dollars on release.
People actually reply to a guy who says stash tabs is p2w. Guys please
Ridiculous, buying stash tabs is purely just for practicity. You can perfectly play the game without buying tabs. That's what i did for 6 months and i had at that time several 80+ characters.
Simply use arrow key on ur keyboard.
Honetly those chaos recipes are still so bad. Esp now that the items have to be over 60, there is a very high chance for example that in the 5 rare boots you take to get that 1 chaos orb from the recipe, one of the boots will easily be worth more than 1 or 2 chaos. For some, yes.
i never got the porno jokes..... can some one tell me wuts wuts?
Seriously. It's like... Ok the game is FREE.... And people complain that you can donate and get stash tabs. OHMEHGERD!!!
Good one.
Ty for info
it is much for more stash tabs.
You should buy it for him then instead of making stupid comments about money.
The game's free dude.
LOL I guess it offended you enough to reply to me even though that message wasn't even directed at you.
You can pay for more tabs
Holy Jeweler's Orbs! Jesus...
I'm going to explain why you're wrong. Stash tabs are not pay to win because you could simply create mule characters to hold your stuff, or if you really need the space, there's nothing GGG is doing to stop you from creating alternant accounts. Stash tabs are simply a quality of life purchase.
no they abuse us by giving us 20+ char slots and only 4 stash tabs
damn, i got to see this one early
Old info bro
Well you can make several mule accounts instead.
How does he can have more than 3 support gem on his freezing pulse
To him its probably crap cause he probably has tons of them and at the level he is he probably has all of the gems he actually uses with quality,
That's alot of jeweller's orbs 0_o
Haha, that insult was so bad it's a good laugh at.
336 hours means nothing, in 1000 hrs most players won't even find one 5L, and very few accounts have all 20 qua gems. Seriously check the forums, most people are poor. If you mute this it looks like he's really stoned and rapping. No Hate!
It is for some

you have way too many jewelers, theres over a thousand there
Lol? you realize its a free game and you can just make more accounts right?
its impossible to do most of this with just 4 stash tabs, so bad luck for noobies.
ctrl+left click
Buying stash tabs = pay to win.
You not agreeing doesn't make it less true 1. It doesn't take long at all to fill 4 tabs with good shit. 2. make a new account and use that stash too.
Kripperino no play Hearthstonerino? Unsubbed kappa
Yea, all that would be awesome IF I had spent $200 bucks on tabs >.< Which, in case you r wondering, I most certainly didnt
