It was 5 towers but you must align your camera to see exact 3 towers. If you aim camera exactly like seeing on the flag, you will see the sun rises exactly in the middle of the highest tower like you saw. The cameraman was off a bit that is the reason you didn't see the tower divides the sun exactly two-half. That time is called equinox. Usually, it was happen once a year or twice a year.
Khmer astronomers are usually published the equinox day in the Khmer new year. They announce the name of the angel who will taking care of the earth and the equinox day in that year in question.
