This video reassures me that if someone of your experience can go out and spend hours walking the beach and find next to nothing, I shouldn't be surprised when it happens to me! I'm a bit south of you, down in the Palm Beach County area. There are days when every two yards I'm getting targets, pull tabs, screw on caps, bottle caps and assorted foil... But I just accept that it's part of the hobby, and every once in awhile I find some jewelry. 👍

Buddy, we don't even find many pull tabs and bottle tops around these parts. These are some of the cleanest beaches I have ever seen (Clearwater Beach was about the dirtiest). And, keep hunting. You can't win if you don't play.

That's nice down there, I spent a week on that beach back in the late 90s while I was camping at Sabastion St. Park. We had a blast , the storms had the beach all tore up and my hopes where high. I didn't have any luck on that trip but I intend to get back there again someday, one of the local hunters showed me a beautiful coin on his necklace that he said he found right there a year earlier. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞

That fill is taken from the sea bottom. No telling what is sucked up with it.

Why not use a PI machine if you are going to dig everything?

Met you in st. Augustine between may 14-20 at the pier.you said you can not detect past the surf. How does one get permission to venture into the surf ?

Thanks for touching base. While I do not know much about the laws that apply in the St. Augustine area, generally, here on the Treasure Coast, we have a wet sand/dry sand law. On most of our beaches here, you can not take your metal detector into the water/surf. If it's found on the beach, it's yours. if it's in the water, the state has a say. You need to have a state salvage lease, or know someone who does. You would have to look into that.

I enjoyed watching your video. I also like when you cut out the no signal segments. You keep to the point. That's what holds my interest.
