Don't beat yourselves up over not grasping what is going on in the video. The music has a seventies pop song feel for me with a hint of a very popular group from those days called, ABBA. I believe you both showed maturity in not hating it and accepting it is not really your music tastes but still gave it a chance and scored it well.
