You should consider spitting your snorkel out before you descend. It causes less noise to spook fish on the descent. AND it's a safety issue regarding shallow water blackout. Your mouth and esophagus automatically close if you blackout, but with the snorkel in your mouth water will intrude to your lungs. Great spearing! Safe diving!
