I've just picked up one of these in Lidl, which was now for £11.99. I wanted to check what they were like before opening it as I am going to be using it to staple bubblewrap and nail 6mm mdf to the inside of a shed and wasn't sure if it would go into the wood well because the photos on the box show it in very light use. It looks like it will cope and I shouldn't even have to buy more nails or staples for this one job. Useful video, thanks. Edit and it's done the job of stapling bubble wrap to the shed beams just fine, only occasionally failing when I hit a knot in the wood I couldn't see through the bubble wrap.
Yeah, it's not a heavyweight device, but still handy. I found myself having to hammer in some nails on thicker stuff... but then that's not what it's meant for. Cheers for the update though, that's helpful!
@@ChrisFranklyn No problem. Thanks for the helpful video. I've never had the need to do much DIY over my life due to renting all the time so when people like you do videos like this they are a godsend to people like me who haven't used tools much. All the stapling is done. Some guides said to staple them onto the panels but I put the bubble wrap across each vertical beam and stapled overlapping sheets into the frame. A few went in wrong at the start and sometimes it didn't seem to want to trigger until I got the positioning just right but otherwise it coped fine once I got the hang of it, easily worth the money to line a standard shed on the cheap. The nails do look a little inadequate for shed wood so as you did, I'll probably get others and do those by hand.
Mine doesn’t release staples. I can’t figure out why! Help!

Hello my friend, This is a good choice. a good nail gun. Thank you for the introduction and information. I use similar nail gun as well. And it does a great job. See you. Big greetings. Stay healthy and happy.
Paid £6 bucks from Lidl just to tack vinyl surrounding around the base of my plants the factors keep sending butchers in and they strim everything in sight 🥴 this did a fair job and was well worth the money 💰
Cheers :) This video and the last video I went back to the webcam I used to record on and I'm sure it used to be fine. I won't use that again and will go back to my phone for now. Perhaps I've dropped it or something.
For £18 that's not bad. How long were the nails you used? It was just a couple of days ago FixitFingers reviewed a Makita nailer in the £300 price range - I think this one would be more suitable for me... 😁
They were an almighty 15mm! It'll be a handy thing to have around even as a stapler, I'm too much of a wimp to use a normal staple gun without cowering in case I catch my hand in it :)
Good to know! Also means I might be able to get more staples and nails for it when it's off season in Lidl :) (I've already got 4 manual staple guns to cope with getting the right size staples!)
Ah shit how did I miss this? Like, every time I go to Lidl I have to convince myself that I really don't need that massive £75 welding machine because it would set my accommodation house on fire and loose my deposit...well and my room...and I'd really get in trouble. However, I did once treat myself after finishing a write-up and got a second smaller drill. And a second mini angle grinder. Yeah I have a problem, Lidl is a trap. And evil. I love it.

Amazing what you can get these days.
@@ChrisFranklyn see you.

I don't use it very often, but it comes in very handy for small jobs. Holding chicken wire to a frame being one use :)
"nailed them both!" 😂 What are you using to record sound bud? Sounds like the audio is clipping... As in the gain is too high.

@@ChrisFranklyn Haha, okay that's not an overly impressive size... 😅
Good fair review Chris, you nailed it!........ahem.
Oh, I missed a load of puns I could hammer home!
@@ChrisFranklyn well it's Easter, try some hot cross puns!
Now this nailer/stapler reminded me of my similiar Titan (screwfix) one. I think that was double the price though.

@@ChrisFranklyn look up eBay plenty there as its made i think by Bosch
Wow just amazing 😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks!

It's exciting not knowing what you'll come back with! They're often good for some cheap clamps too...
Thank you for your help!🤗❤
Looks like a great tool for the money. Hope it holds.
I hope so too. I wonder if I keep putting nails in random bits of hardwood :)
@@ChrisFranklyn You'll run out of nails eventually.
Yes they can play games on us until we set em up correctly 🤠👏🍻👍👍👍👍
Useful tool for the money - even if you do have to punch the nails.
It is, although I keep forgetting I have it!
It work's really good.
Yes it does somehow, for that price :)
just a matter of fact watched a video from another guy and he put the staples in from back top .Dont make that mistake
Ha! That would cause issues.
pile of crap down the middle of the store 😆
