TRiDENT are really rather awesome. Some of their stuff is harder than others. Their most recent live performance is "be with you" which is pretty soft, their most fun MVs are Spoopy and Kick Ass, and I think Cry Out might be one of their best tracks.
Trident were founded in 2016, as ガールズロックバンド革命 (Girls Rock Band Kakumei, or “Girls Rock Band Revolution”). Their lineup under the original name consisted of: Asaka - Vocals & Guitar Serina- Bass & Chorus Junna- Drums (Original Member, left in 2020) After Junna left, Nagisa replaced her at drums, and they changed their name to Trident. They have collectively released two albums, two mini albums and several singles. Their style is fast, hard and heavy but melodic, with a dense sound for a three-piece band. As Kakumei: “No Regret” th-cam.com/video/ptmNCyIOjXU/w-d-xo.html “Voltage” th-cam.com/video/9k9txMouU34/w-d-xo.html As Trident: “Ambivalent” (you just watched this) “Spoopy” th-cam.com/video/16APM8itvv0/w-d-xo.html Junna has continued to make a name for herself through crazy drum covers posted on youtube, and session work with other groups. She recently joined Hagane, as they rebuilt following a split. Here is her best-known cover, of “Through the Fire and Flames” by Dragonforce: th-cam.com/video/UKr1H4Jv6is/w-d-xo.html
TRiDENT is one of my favorite bands. I'd very much recommend Spoopy or Continue. Ambivalent is heavily bass-focused but their songs have great range. Thanks for the reaction.
A new band to me. Not totally my thing, but I was impressed by what I hear. I really like that there are all these bands from Japan breaking out into the rest of the world 👍
I love this band. Serina, the bassist, is a real standout.
