      Exactly! Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed but he drove me nuts. Seriously I’m was talking to the screen lol “no no no what are you doing? Follow the shape!” lol simple straight wipes and he’s all over the place. Hopefully he practiced and practiced and got it right by now. And instructor was too busy answering questions and didn’t stop him from taking his own wiping paths at times. Very informative video though. I certainly got a lot out of it. 👍

      The only change I would recommend is to first take a spray bottle, fill it with solution from the bucket and spray the panel first. This will start lifting the dirt and also offer more lubrication for the towels.

    Wow! 5-6 minutes? I wash my car by hand, with distilled water. And it takes me 3 hours, including inside and outside. Twice a month. I use the yellow towels from Costco as well, take good care of the towels as well. I first spray it with distilled water and then I start the two bucket, that is actually 3 buckets method. One with the special soap and special mit, and two with clean water and two microfiber towels, then I use a clean dry towel. I do it in my garage and use a wall mounted vacuum.

    We live on a dirt road and get fine red dust on our car driving home. Is this method safe on a car covered in fine dust?

    • @LudicrousFeed
      @LudicrousFeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question Brian
      I’d suggest spraying with water first to get most of the coarse sediment off the car first before attempting this technique. Frank will be joining us on one of our live streams so stay tuned!

  • @tonytan5945

    I like microfiber cloths but they are difficult to wash themselves due to dirt trappings. Wonder how the detailer cleans the cloths at the end of day. The purists throw the cloths away but it’s wasteful imho.

    • @LudicrousFeed

    Regardless of how effective the chemical is, this method will eventually end up creating swirl marks. This method is not ideal for working on dirty cars.

    • @LudicrousFeed
      @LudicrousFeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      From my understanding of today’s workshop, the idea is to soften caked on dirt/mud etc as much as possible. If it really is that dirty, then a good rinse prior may be required

    • @moestrei
      @moestrei 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He does say @ 17:30 a full hose down wash would be better. I understand this is an alternative / complementing method which saves time and water. Many city dwellers simply do not have access to a watering hose.
