Man these games were my childhood and teenhood? Hours spent trying to makeshift a free spiderman skin and hours spent on a mortal combat, star wars and paintball levels. This and infamous just remembering them gives me so much nostalgia and a warm feeling in my heart.
It's so sad to see Sony fall so low in recent years. LBP deserves so much better, but without Media Molecule working on it, I don't think a potential new game will hit the same and or improve from the 2nd game. Here's hoping they work on a LBP game after the one they're currently cooking up. Speaking of which, it'll be worth checking that game out for those who own a PS5.
lbp 3 was the first lbp game i owned so even thought i know it wasn’t the best it was a special game, the hours i would spend just putting stickers on walls, it upsets me so much that song delisted the game and a lot of the dlcs are gone with it too, like bru i wanted to eventually get them all 💀
My best friend introduced this whole franchise to me! Probably in 2013, after it was already established a bit so he showed me all the awesome community levels and creators that had already been working hard with the game... if you know the classics you know what I'm talking about, and man playing that stuff played on the couch was so great. I even got the PSP port for the fuck of it and when I got a PSVita I played the FUCK out of it, only 3 layers. When I finally got a ps4 I could join my best friend on LittleBigPlanet3, he was hyped I could finally play the dope 16 layer levels lol. That shit was unbelievable honestly, we played it to death for days. I was amazed with what could be made by the time lbp3 was conceived and how you and a couple buddies could just seamlessly enter this universe of creative little worlds with eachother, save for a few bugs!😅I don't wanna eulogize and praise this game for too long so ill try to get to the point. It was great, its sad the servers are all dead and hopefully whenever the 4th installment comes out it will be capable of letting you play levels from past games likes previous games did. This game was a wonderful outlet of creativity as we attempted to build levels or just play other peoples great perspectives on using create mode and it honestly meant a lot to me and I know it definitely did for my best bud and our online friends we would play it in rotation with. Me and my irl close friend who introduced the game to me usually just played one on one and it highlighted how it was such a unique gaming experience, I genuinely don't think anything has been similar to it since then. When highschool came around life got the best of us and we weren't hanging much, god forbid when covid came around... As of today, my friend is dead, presumably at his own hand. We won't be able to relive this game through memories with each other. He wont realize how much he meant to me. Thank you for making this video, it was nice to share this love somewhere! I apologize for making this so long, tell your loved ones that they are just that! Also I really hope they deliver with the next port (assuming they manage to release it) cause that would just fucking awesome for us.

I can remember recording through my mic my old radio when nicky minaj starships song was on for putting it as a sackbot into one of my cute girls costumes levels lol. This game was my whole childhood. Boiii theeere was drama. I'm still looking for something to mean that much to me again tbh. Maybe a new game. lbp 3 used to be lbp hub the idea of lbp hub is it is a free live service lbp game but for some reason they just decide to make that lbp3 lbp3 early development had many finished levels but they were scrapped for some reason i guess maybe it was rushed?
fun fact: WRONG LBP3 and LBPHub were developed co-currently and were lead by different divisions at Sumo. LBPHub was fairly basic, being a F2P version of LBP2 with purchasable story chapters and publishing slots. the most unique features it had were challenges, which could be set either by developers or players in any level, where you could compete for time, score, multipliers, or deaths. and the Downloadinator, which downloaded needed game assets on the fly instead of installing it upon initial download for faster download times
nobody really knows why HUB got scrapped, but i assume it was to merge the two teams to help work on LBP3. multiple of Hub's element made it to 3, like the store, friends list, and a reworked version of it's introductory level as a DLC pack
