What is the *point* if there is no definite or indefinite article to establish whether it's masculine or feminine! Each word has then got to be checked!

If you’re not sure if it’s un or une, search in a French dictionary. Nf (nom féminin) = une, nm (nom masculin) = un.

De nombreux mots anglais ne sont pas assez précis pour pouvoir être traduits correctement en français, Les mots composés ou expressions donnés en français ne sont quasiment jamais utilisés, ils sont soit abrégés soit il existe des synonymes en un seul mot.
In French , is there a way to make my writing seem more friendly and less formal? In English, you can add words like “well…” and “so…” to make it sound like your talking to a friend instead of a stranger or your boss.
“Today I went to school…” - formal, distant, like talking to a stranger
“Well/so, today to school…” - friendly, more intimate
How can I do this in french?
“Aujourd’hui je suis allé à l’école…” - me semble trop formal....
I think you can say : Donc/alors, aujourd’hui je suis allé à l’école...
But I am not sure about it 😂

Would be a friendly, jokey way of saying
