In this video, I play the song "Under the Sea" actually under the sea. I take my piano to the ocean and play underwater wearing scuba gear and a suit. It is a yellow piano, like yellow submarine, I turned my piano into a submarine and I waterproofed my piano. The song is from Disney's The Little Mermaid called Under The Sea and I played a piano cover of Under The Sea to play underwater. This diver plays piano underwater, he is an underwater pianist.

I do scuba diving and I can confirm sitting down under water Is so much harder than it sounds, I'd say you did very well joe

In Japan there is a tunnel called the Tokyo Bay Aqualine, that is partly above the ocean, but goes below the ocean to allow boats though the area. If Joe played a piano in the tunnel, technically it'd be under the sea (not sure it'd be allowed though)
luckily there happens to be a tunnel beneath the english channel that he might be able to use (aka, that's what it looks like part 2 is)

I always like a good bit of pedantry, but for the original version of the song, "under the sea" did mean at the bottom of the sea like you did (under the sea's surface). So while I would say "mission accomplished", I cannot wait to see the next mission pushing it to new levels of pedantry!

The waterproofing the piano problem is so easy to do.
Simply dunk the entire piano in a tank of tool sealer.
It's like a self healing liquid wax polymer that will coat every surface, like a very thin, light coat of paint. Completely waterproofing every part. A bit like "conformal coating".
Wouldn't last forever in the sea, a few weeks perhaps.
Yes, the felt components would absorb it too, and become hard, but hey, at least none of the wood would swell.
