Sione Vaki is my lowkey favorite, idk why I just have a feeling. All great picks especially if Brad chose them, but something about Vaki sticks out to me as another one of Brad's mid-round steals
He is badass. I cant wait to see him kick ass
........and the crazy thing is they're going to play him at RB.
Last two picks are absolutely steals!.. defense should be dirty this season..
Grateful for EVERY pick ! But I feel this way about Isaiah Williams ; he gives me some Amon Ra St Brown vibes...
was thinking the same thing
I am a PATS fan and man, I luv what you guys are doing...crushing the last few drafts actually with DC at the wheel...how can you not respect what is going on there...I hope you guys get to the promised land....your Lions are doing it right man...I grew up watching Barry and Megatron and rooted for them as a football fan...but now it's all coming together in the Motor City with hard work and having each other's back, so crisp...much respect...bring that Lombardi Trophy to Ford Field!
Respect I rooted for your Pat's the day Brady started, this is what happens when everyone is on the same page.
I'm a Titans fan, but I can both understand, as well as respect, what Dan Campbell and company have done, especially since he was from one of the worst football teams of all time, namely, the 2008 Detroit Lions.
Rakestraw and Wingo are absolute steals
Teams were worried about Rakestraw's grabby hands drawing a lot of pass interference penalties.
Really within his zone of 10 yards it probably is okay to give up a PI if it limits a bigger pass play downfield.
Wingo may have been at Missouri when Rakestraw was also there. Wingo transferred to LSU.
@@ericscottstevensthankfully Lions DB's don't ever get called for PI for so much as being on the same field as the opposing receiver, so this should be fine
What an elite song choice to go along with an elite draft class
You are elite-ly right.
Got me absolutely hyped watching this.
Man if we can get Giovanni Manu to take that next step in his game, were going to have another absolute monster for the o line. One thing i notice in his film, secondary contact when hes already engaged in blocks, doesnt phase the big man at all. Dudes just bouncing off Gio out their.
As a Ute fan and a Lions fan. Im ecstatic about vaki.
The highlights in this video doesnt do him justice i watched him every season at the UofU. Hes a beast and hidden gem. We got a straight DAWG!! LFG!! 🦁
Mahogany looks solid. i like that he looks really good on pulling run plays. something the Lions do a lot
Brad isn't done cooking yet. There are Undrafted FAs & cuts from training camp to pick from 💯🔥
Yea, but they're ready not making anymore moves. This team is stacked with a great mix of starters and depth.
I'm very curious as to what happens after the June 1 cuts. I don't think Brad is done yet
@@lonnellsmith007they signed a pass rusher from Canada a few months back, named Betts. I'm curious to see how he fits with us. If he makes the final cut in August
I love how Brad Holmes drafts. He gets “our guy” not just the most talented guy. True team building.
We got all Elite class. Now let's go. Run it back. 🦁🦁🦁🦁
but one game further
Manu bodied 24, i actually felt bad for him.. XD
Means nothing unless you are going against top opposition. It's an interesting pick, but it's a project.
@@benisrood no shit, I was just liking the highlights. It’s like night and day who get to join the league, and 24, he ain’t in it
those 2 clips of him at guard were awesome. made a semi sized hole on his own. definitely athletic enough at his size to play T. excited to see how fraley molds him
Let’s go!!! Detroit vs Everybody🔥🔥🔥🐐
LMAO, Manu's highlights reminds me of the blindside. just this hulking of a dude man handling men.
Being a Washington Huskie fan, I remember Vaki being EVERYWHERE!!! He stood out on defense and offense. Welcome to the D!!!!!
Buncha dawgs!!!! Love the draft picks ❤
i am still in awe that we got terrion lmao.
The guard from Boston was probably the best value of our draft, I seen him going early 3rd to late 3rd in most mock drafts and simulations. I picked him a few times w our late 3rd in the PFF simulator, idk why he fell to the 6th other than injuries, reminds me of Jonah Jackson, good mover and very well built w sturdy frame. Not the longest, most agile, and injury history ? Maybe that’s why he slid but I though he was a lock to go early day 3 potentially day 2
Brad Holmes is a talent ace. There is no ceiling with bh and co
Vaki’s tackles are violent!
We drafted a bunch of DAWGS on both sides of the ball. Lions are hungry for that Lombardi. Lets go get it! Go Lions, Onepride!
Terrion Arnold is my fav, the way he swats the ball is going to help us alot on defense.
Detroit Stand Up 🫡
Detroit vs Everybody🤘🏼🤘🏼
another masterpiece from brad 🙏🏽
Welcome to Detroit Michigan!!
One Pride baby!!
Let's f@cking go Lions 🦁💙🖤🩶🤍💯💪🏻
Absolute Top Picks. Go Lions ❤
Welcome in to the perfect time to be a lion!
🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 drift pics man. shout out to the scouting department, the GM and the head coach for making these picks
Badass picks
Big dawg football 💪🦁
A outstanding draft class. 🦁🦁🦁🦁
The Lions got tougher over the weekend.
Things are looking up..!
Zero misses
Let's build the greatest defense since the Legion of Boom! Solid picks, it's time to mold the clay into pottery.
Thanks for making this video!
These oline are beasty af, Wingu was a steal in late round.
The new kick off rules will put emphasis on good tackling and discipline by the kicking team & being able to break tackles on the receiving team. Vaki is going to excel with special teams. I can already see Rodrigo, JRM & Vaki leading the ST charge for the Lions. He is one of my favorite picks in the draft.
I think B… made things clear on this draft , he addressed the problems n built from there, no matter what I want , the office knows the issues at hand trust n what it is
TOKO🇹🇴 💯 NINERR FAN HERE SIONE VAKI THE TRUTH...PLAYED RUGBY WITH HIS FATHER AND UNCLE FROM SACRAMENTO....CANT WAIT TO SEE HIM DEC 30 @ LEVI STADIUM
Lions on a revenge campaign. Holy fùhhh
What do you expect from a guy that literally was a part of the 2008 Detroit Lions team as their head coach?
Number #1 rated draft class according to warren sharp football analysis
Manu is a BEAST 😤
The Lion's media team is killing it. BTW, that new lion graphic - are we being teased?
I want that on a hat 😮
It’s this years draft style or font so to speak
I bet all these picks make the HOF.
As a mizzou grad, kinda hyped for rake & wingo
I also got feeling this guy is special he might be like Hill from the Siants that guy that does it all
Manu reporting as eligible 😅
The highest draft grade we got from CBS was a B, but for the first time in my life, I actually have faith in our front office to identify undervalued guys that match how we want to play, which is how the best teams build their rosters, not by just making flashy QB and skill position picks over and over. It will be interesting to see how these guys play, especially considering the lower number of high picks we had.
Well, in a sense, it is akin to how the 1999 to 2020 Boise State Broncos made their roster in the NCAA, and how the Division III NCAA football team in the University of Mount Union (Ohio) made an absolute legend of a team in their Purple Raiders ever since 1986. The teams got one, two, and three star players, and not only believed that they were like four and five star players, but that had also made those players believe such things, as well as worked as hard to become that good as well. Sure, there were no star players that were like the more well-known names, but the few of them that ended up being made, well, they preferred to be humble sleeper picks that stayed under the radar.
Brad Holmes making the later rounds feel like the first rounds. Nothing but respect.
Those guys we added to the trenches O and D man im for it!! Let's goo!!
More protection on the o-line and some weapons in the secondary. Brad doesn't miss
Manu looks like he’s playing high schoolers💀
Time to go out and make a name for yourselves in The League, Boys!
LFG ROOKS! DETROIT VS EVERYBODY IN THIS MF CITY 😤
I think it’s obvious that Wingo and Mahogany will make an impact for this team next season. Mahogany as the 4th interior guy and Wingo has that undersized chip.
Manu makes 6”2 guys look like high school boys 😂.I have high hopes for Mahagony. Hopefully he can help us quickly.
Love the Michigan/Alabama acquisitions. The SEC is huge and competitive, glad Holmes & Crew picked up on it
Based on this reel, they all seem to be insanely physical players…. This is a great thing. Damn Holmes just shocked the world again.
Mekhi wingo is going to be the biggest steal in the draft period! Idk who he dropped to the 6th round!
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎉🎉🎉
Last oline pick was a absolute steal
Sione Vaki can play both sides of the ball. Special teams for sure
Can he punt and kick too?
Music fire!!!
Heck ya
Rakestraw and Mahogany are great value picks
Yeah Buddy, I Like What I See!! Gonna Be A Great Season In The 313!!
Let's Go Lions!!
Restore The Roar, Restore The Pride!!
Playoffs Or Bust!!
That OT reminds me of Sewell pushing everyone 5-10 years away like it’s nothing
Something that sticks out to me is how physical all these guys are. Between them and the FA additions to the defense it's gonna be very difficult to run the ball on this defense
TOKOS 🇹🇴💯
Why did the LSU player drop so far? He looks like a freaking monster up front. Our D-line just keeps getting better and better.
I noticed saban had Arnold over kolaid because he has alot more potential
Building a dynasty
I still say kicker is what we need to find
Very confused about the Vaki pick, I know he’s a versatile defense/offense/special teams weapon. But Brad said in a press conference he wants him at RB. Monty and Gibbs worked great last season, Craig Reynolds is a beast too. I figured Vaki would be rotating in at safety and special teams.
Just wondering what situations we’d put him in at RB over Gibbs/Monty/Reynolds? Vaki as a RB doesn’t make sense to me unless someone gets hurt (which is a good possibility).
Brad is not always honest when he speaks publicly. Holmes like Campbell like the element of surprise.
Rakestraw is very handsy. I am a little concerned about him and his injury issues. All other rookies seems great. Looking forward to training camp competitions. Vaki will be a great asset. He is an all around Reebok athlete. Wingo is a murderer!!!
THE TRUE KINGS OF THE NORTH!
Next month, schedule release!! 🦁🏈
Manu needs to work on his footing or he doesn't stand a chance of competing with nfl style DE. I see a red shirt season while the Lions coaches instill his pedigree. Is totally fine by me. Dude is a tank
You’re not supposed to be able to get guys like Wingo and Mahogany in the 6th round. Both guys can be contributors this year, Wingo more so than Mahogany
I'm a little disappointed. It would have been great to see a Michigan wolverine selected to the home town host. There were definitely some worthy.
Manu is a example of why nfl should let players on loan to the UFL to see time and snaps.
We need Trey doe edge is a must
In Brad's press conference after the draft, he said wingo's role will mostly be edge rushing because he gets stuffed on run plays.

.....
Mahogany......
- King Yama
I love generic trap beat #2
No more cornerback rentals!!!!! LET'S GO LIONS!!!! LOMBARDI TROPHY HERE WE COME!!!!!
Adding depth to are cbs and are line hell yeah, we just need to get a wide receiver 3 before the season starts
You do know that “our” is a word, right?
@@brandonbaty2291 you know only 20% of TH-cam speaks American English ?
Hey detroit lions i made a video for you bro i hope you like it
how did wingo fall so far
Sione Vaki will play RB, Slot WR, and Wildcat QB, while plugging in for Strong Safety. It's like having Troy Polamalu play on Offense. Excited to see what Ben Johnson draws up for him. I can see Goff shifting on short yardage and Vaki getting the snap and shooting for the hole. Vaki was drafted for the tush push.
Vaki and JRM are gonna be the greatest special teams duo in the league
At the end off the day, we just miss an edge and a WR. All other positions are addressed. The fact that he got an LT and a RG in this draft is amazing.
We go let them DAWGS out this season
Like some others said, i think maybe a couple of picks could have gone a couple different ways but overall we dont see the big picture as fans. I trust BH and company. I absolutely love the first 3 picks though.
This Exhibition season is going to be a BLAST to watch. It will be nice to see where guys like Paschal and Martin are, as well as Sorsdal and this year's picks. Also, it will be our first look at Hendon Hooker in this offense. Feeling a ton better about the CB room. One thing that ALL of these guys do, is hit. A head-hunting Defensive Backfield, will be CRUCIAL for this division. Guys like Love, Matthews, J.J. Garappolo (to a lesser-extent), Odunze, Allen, Jefferson, and Addison, need to know that they could be blasted at ANY time.

You shall NOT pass
What’s our grade?
A
Liked every pick other than the OT.
Hopefully Manu will adjust because the competition he was facing to what he will face in the NFL will be night and day
