Thanks for the demo. I’ve been playing around with small linocut projects. And so far have invested in two cheap sets. But both with only 5 blades, so there’s not enough fine line variety. But now I’m at the point where I want to experiment more. I think the Essdee set will be ideal for my creative endeavours. Plus I saw they also do a blade set which had the wings so that you limit the depth of the line. Which seems like a good add on. For some reason they weren’t available in my area from Amazon. So went online to a local art shop here in Portugal. Went to go and buy those two items. Ended up with 8 other related products in my basket 😅 … thanks for your review of this product. 😊

You’re welcome.. I think that’s the case most times I go to buy ‘one or two things’ in an art shop!! Thanks for watching and commenting

Bit late responding to this. I really like my little essdee set, the same as yours. However, I did buy 3 pfeil tools so I didn't have to keep swapping blades in and out of the essdee. The pfeil do feel nice in your hand but as a beginner, as you say, the essdee set is good! And yes, the pfeil are more expensive, but are meant to last.

    Hi Colin,
I have a set of Narex palm carvers, they are very similar to Pfiel but approx half the cost, excellent quality from the Czech Republic.

I noticed them, interesting that they are a good and more reasonable alternative to the pfeil
