Dick Sprang and Paul Norris created Power Nelson in 1940 which is now public domain. Brad Dwyer is knocking it out of the park with his version in APE MEN OF THE APOCALYPSE.
I was part of a self published horror anthology a few years ago, and I received some copies for my part in it. I'll have to dig 2 copies out of storage and send you guys some copies. Taking part in that confirmed to me that I could never be a full time comic book artist, but I still love doing the occasional pinup piece for myself, or sketch to keep the skills intact.
Thank you Ed and Jim, your Mailbag videos are like Christmas. If by any chance you were ever wondering if you should make a 5 hour extended Mailbag episode, i vote yes pls
OH yeah, I know Maelstorm, he posted individual pages very slowly on DeviantArt during the time he was creating the art. It's amazing! One of my favorite DA artists without question.
Great story about Denis, he asked how much he would make per cover and then walked in a week later and dropped 4 on the table and said ok cut me a cheque and we sat stunned looking at the batch and just yes... not just a brilliant artist...
I love mailbag episodes. More!
I vote yea on more Mailbags. Also Yaaay.
Awesome episode! I'd love to see a deep dive into GunViking!
Fuck man, Jim your ball point work is just incredible.

No need to fight, fellas - Warlock 5 was remastered and rereleased in hc last year (with issues #14 and #15, to wrap it up, after a 30 year gap!)
The only thing left out was color versions of those covers. I was the person who mailed that hand bound Warlock 5. I am glad you liked it!
@@natehartz1049you do awesome work, brother!

Love me some mailbag!!
Is that an homage to Ed standing in line on page 9 of The Makers???
It's because of this vidoe I learned about Last Gasp and Floating World groups so thanks.
Ed mentioned it, and it might not be kosher, but any link to download that rom hack? 😅
They could make an ips patch that just contains the changes made to smb, for wider distro
very cool, guys! cheers from brasil.
GHOD I love this channel.....

The Manga instruction books by Page One are pretty good, if you want a place to start.
Funny review of New Mutants in that 1990 Comics Career stating that Liefeld can't draw feet and fills every image with pointless crosshatching.
Let's ##%%@ing Goooooo!!!!!
