I've watched this in pieces throughout today and just got to the end so that's what's sticking out in my mind right now:
"Why are you making me a 'Trump supporter?!'"
This made me laugh out loud! I have said this to myself silently when having to point out irrationality and the false narratives pushed by some, and the true narratives that those same people ignore. "Hate Trump, but..." has become a go-to for me lately, and it's so aggravating.
Great interview! Lots to think on, as always.

I love the dog -- "let's play!" Maybe sensing this is a very serious discussion, and attempting to inject some levity (but much less anthropomorphic; I can't help but write in anthropomorphic terms because I'm human lol. But that sentiment of wanting fun and joy over seriousness is what I'm trying to catch in words. Sorry, I just can't resist animals)

zxy atiywariii I noticed that the camera cut just after the first time the dog walked underneath it. The dogs eyes were focused on the camera that time. I wonder he/she might have accidentally knocked it down or moved it. Obviously it was edited out to keep a professionalism to the video.
Cute dog though. Made me think of what would happen if I tried to conduct an interview with my St Bernard around.

  •  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Of all the protesters at the college (and at others) who walk out of classes, and rampaged in the streets about racism and intolerance, how much time did/ do they actually spend in the school's libraries, study halls and labs doing assignments to the best of their talents? How many hours a day did / do they spend doing things not related their studies, compared to white and Asian student who are accused of "privilege"? I suspect the grades the protesting students received are well below the class average and they refuse to see their own behaviour as a reason.

    25:19 -
    1. You were asked to leave and if you did not would be considered not an ally and don't considered that to be forced.
    2. The commandeered buildings in which had classes scheduled.
What exactly do you consider force if not these two things?

    • @waltermh111
      @waltermh111 6 ปีที่แล้ว

He wasnt just claimed he wouldnt be an ally. They tried compelling him to resign, and then compelling the admins to force him to resign/fire him.
But I have a feeling they are center-left and cant help but want to be appeasing to the left in some way, somehow.
They made some pointless false equivalences that make me think this.
Wienstein helped create this atmosphere in a way.
I was always left, but I am moving right as I get older and observe more and see that going to the left just leads to societal destruction, and I want kids, so I dont want that.

Bret Weinstein is my new Man Crush. Hearing him take the time logically adress each point makes me wish I'd taken more science courses during my time at Evergreen. In fact the whole series from this chanel is cathartic for me since it's enabled me unpack the entire 2 years I was enrolled at a student at Evergreen and all the interactions that felt off to me. As someone who is concerned with issues of equality I tried to go along with and listen to the SJW agenda, but as trime progressed I just became sick and resentful of the entire enterprise. And then when the protests happened I couldn't graduate soon enough. I know it hasn't been that long since I've graduated but I have yet to miss that wretched instituion.
I fear that the situation at Evergreen is worse than people realize, especially in the arts. I don't know what the solution is but keep uploading the videos. They're really good at making me think.

Let me say I have appreciated you both during all of this. I have come here to get real updates on what happened and what is currently happening. I don't watch any of the cable news services and get my news from a wide variety of alternative sources. I appreciate your honesty about groups like Patriot Prayer. I am a conservative so I'm sure that there is a lot we would probably disagree about but I also know there is a lot we do agree on as evidenced by this video. People of good will used to sit down and work things out through compromise in this country. It wasn't perfect but nothing ever is. Both left and right (in the classical sense) have to work together against the totalitarian elements in our society no matter the side. We have to uphold truth no matter how uncomfortable it may be. Thank you for holding up your end of the fight.

  • @amadeusdebussy6736

I'm not sure that the words "tolerant" and "tolerate" are being used these days the way I understand they should be used.
You don't 'tolerate' things you agree with, you tolerate things you disagree with. So, if you agree with gay marriage you're not being tolerant, you simply agree with it. If you disagree with the idea of gay marriage yet you say, "well, to each their own it's not my business so let them get married" then you're being tolerant. The kids on Evergreen aren't really being tolerant, they're just agreeing with what they agree with.
Nobody ever asked "Hey Bill how did you tolerate your two week vacation in the Bahamas?"

I just got done reading about the cultural revolution implemented by Mao Zedong, and am trying my absolute best to not make correlations, or point out similarities, but DAMNIT it's hard to not see a commonality between the two. The ability of the "left" to create, and impose a colectivist juggernaut of a system, aimed at realizing some insanely dystopian world, or national government is HORRIFYING, and SHOULD be pointed out at the very second it's realized by those who have tasked, or been tasked with watching for it. Lest we repeat the tragedies of the 20th century(aka: Soviet gulags, maoist cleansing, fascist and nazi atrocities, pol pot, etc.)...
Keep up the good work brother, there may be more at stake than the collective consciousness of the west is ready to acknowledge 👍

If my son told me in a few years, “dad, I’m going to go to school to be a welder/plumber/electrician” then I would be so proud and glad as universities have become a scam.

9:00 ..Like his student said, "It's all about him!". Personally, I don't think he did anything wrong in how he handled it. Fox was the only "mainstream" media I saw covering it. I'm sure he would have gone to any that asked, but they didn't. Honestly, Idk any other way he could've addressed this w.o defending himself. In their words, "It's his lived experience." (I hate myself for using that.lol)

I have no idea if it's true or not. But has anyone thought that the reason some faculty are praising these students and giving into their demands is because that is what the students where promised for doing this in the first place. Who passed out the Email? Who organized the students? Were they given credits for the protest as some kind of social justice experiment that got way out of hand?? Like I said I have no idea. All I see is a school that is failing it's students. Are these students going to graduate thinking that if their boss or co- workers disagree with them or said something they don't like they can gather their friends and storm the work place or that persons home without consequences?? Oh and demand that the boss still pay them for the time they protested the company...

“Any king who must remind others of his position is no true king”
“This is the only true narrative of today’s events”
Well, I do agree on one point. It’s definitely a narrative.

I wish Benjamin didn't feel so insecure in front of Bret that he felt he had to interrupt, constantly, to make it seem as though he was on the same intellectual level as Bret. So annoying.
