He has a reputation in the industry for being faithful to his wife. Like you, I noticed that he instantly mentioned his wife when he was asked about his chemistry with his costar. Smart man.

Matthew Goode is so underrated. I hope they get Season 2 in the works soon. A Discovery of Witches is a good show to watch.

Actually,it seems they are going to shoot in June/July because Teresa Palmer will have a baby in April and can't be there in Wales sooner than the coming summer. :)

It's 2020 now and everybody is still waiting on season 2. I'm starting to think it might not come out.

I LOVE that she wanted to do it, because she has seen Matthew in Stoker - because I started watching (and reading) this series, because I've seen Matthew in Stoker as well and he was so good in that, that I was intrigued about his other roles.
Teresa Palmer, I love that girl, she’s such a brilliant actress and really pretty. What I love about her character in A Discovery Of Witches, Diana Bishop is her vulnerability as a powerful witch but she doesn’t fully accept it and still insecure about her role, being typically human about it. That’s really clever of the show, and you actually feel as if you’re going on that journey of discovery with her, as she goes from being a human into this powerful witch, and with Matthew Goode’s character, Matthew Clairmont, the transition is the verse as he’s been this powerful vampire for centuries but you watch him become more in tune with his human side as his love for Diana grows. I love how this fantasy drama has made the supernatural beings more human then all the unnecessary blood and gory, and I especially love the Britishness of it, I’m not being bias because I’m proud British-Mauritian, I just love my U.K.. And I deeply love the simple history incorporated into this show, I bet nobody realises that the fictional character, Diana Bishop, a powerful witch from a long line of witches, dating back to Bridget Bishop, a real woman who went on trail and executed on 10 June 1692, accused of being a witch and practicing witchcraft during the Salem witch trails. I love that the author included this in her storytelling
Teresa Palmer is simply and beautiful..Mathew Goode is charming..cant wait the season 2 soon..

You are so right!! Deborah has created a world I can get lost in for a while. I've reread the books and listened to the audio books every time I need a break from real life. I was worried about it turning into a TV show at first because I've created the characters in my mind on how they are described in the book. And many times the actors chosen for people in books don't match up...at all. I may seem pathetic but I've turned to the books so often that the characters feel like old friends by now. I hope to be not too disappointed. I'll be able to watch the show in the beginning of 2019 I guess since I'm in the US.

I discovered, " a discovery of witches" two days ago and I was immediately hooked. I binged watched the whole season, can't wait for season 2.

They have confirmed season 2 and 3! They will start filming in March, she will join them in June after she's had her baby girl. Think it's due to air in Autumn 2019 in the uk!

Found it yesterday on HBO and I watched season 1 in one sitting. Fantastic show. It's not childish/stupid romance like in Twilight. It's much more. Great acting and visuals. Please give me season 2 already :]

Incredible story..actors are fantastic,they made the book real.I read all three books cause I couldnt wait for second season to know what will go on..this is the best story about deamons ,,witches and vampires I ever read..Diana and Matthew you are top actors for this role.I can't wait second season even I read the books.Like Matthew said IN EVERY ENDING THERE IS A NEW BEGINNING so I am dying to watch the second season🧛♂️

The first book is so in-depth and long but the season was unfortunately too rushed. They need to make more episodes for each session and not rush it so much.

Therea Palmer definitely got the "in heat" look down and on point whenever she would look at Goode in the show. I don't like the writers so far in transitioning the novel to screen play. There were a few plot holes that left if fairly confusing. So i crash read the first two books and was not disappointed. I was really happy with how well the actors portrayed the thoughts and feelings of their characters with their expressions.
Love Supernatural shows! He's tall dark & handsome & she's blue eyed beauty. I hate when I love a show & it's only like 6 or 8 episodes like this is! 🙄 And it kind of was rushed. She couldn't stand him & then next episode she's all about him w out getting to know him. They need to slow down & hopefully it will be several seasons.
Well there's 3 books and the first season followed the 1st book to a T. So unless they make up new material or spread out the next 2 books between multiple seasons there may only be 3 seasons. But the next book has so many amazing moments... I hope they slow it down and take their time to really do it justice.

You clearly haven't read the books, she falls in love with him very quickly in the books its pretty much in a matter of days and he her although she is quicker to admit it than he is. So they are following pretty closely to the books so far, I mean obviously being that its only a short run of episodes things have been left out and slightly altered. But all in all its pretty true to the books so far.
It followed the book perfectly, that’s how it felt in the book. Rushed and all of the sudden she went from hate to love.
Stoker is literally one of my favorite movies because of Matthew. The movie is absolutely incredible... If you haven't watched it yet, what are you doing???
Saw him interviewed on This Morning, the series sounded good so ordered the trilogy, read them in 4 days as season 1 started, they are excellent, a great read, hope the next season follows the story as good as the last x
not much of a vampire, werewolves, walking dead halloween-esque things apart from Ford Coppola's Dracula masterpiece, but this one's caught my eye. Indeed, a much clever approach without resorting to gore

I was a huge fan of the books before the first season and I was hopeing against hope that they just didn't butcher it like so many ' book to movie or series ' conversions are. After seeing the first season I was so delighted that the changes were not major ones and then I thought that season 2 would never come. And now to find that season three is filming and season two will release in early 21 I just have to find what channel or streaming service will pick it up here in Australia.
Really love this show! Can’t wait for season 2.

Diana's father is an ancient witch. Imagine how long he has to wait, to meet his mate (Diana's mother). Luckily, he can jump to the future. I wish I can do that too to watch the episode 2 and 3 ....

Just discovered the show love it the characters the locations were fantastic too bad only 8 episodes .
Podoba mi się mała ilość odcinków, wszystko szybko , konkretnie , skupia się na tym co najważniejsze.Duża ilość odcinków psuje serial, trzeba czekać kilkanaście odcinków aż coś się zaczyna dziać między głównymi bohaterami, wchodzi dużo wątków , czasami nie potrzebnych ,przeciąganie .Serial doskonały , aktorzy idealnie dobrani , nadzieja ,że 2 sezon też będzie skupiał się na tym co ważne , nie chcę więcej odcinków w następnym sezonie , nie potrzebne przeciąganie jak w książkach.
