Your weekly lectures are a treat! Especially this week's, since it put a lot of things from the previous ones together.
I really appreciate that you break down the topics to an understandable level, without diluting them, and while stile posing important questions during the explanations. Your channel (among with others) has really heightened my interest in Philosophy recently and I hope to someday read (at least a few of) the works and Philosophers that you mention to deepen and develop my own understanding of them.
Thanks once more and kind regards from Germany~

Just wanted to thank you for doing these lectures. I am a big admirer of Jordan Peterson's philosophical work, and your lectures on Zizek help me understand and contextualize the critiques that one can levy against Peterson.

Did i hear he has a monograph coming out on Nietzsche that is going to way better than Deleuze and Klossowski's shoddy efforts! i've only come across his pop-guru psychology, post-modern conspiracy theory, and historical revisionist works!

When you talk about "true totalitarian absolute power being invisible" as soon as we give or assign a "marker" or representation to it, by that very act it is undermined. This reminded me of how Jung makes the contents of the unconscious conscious, by identifying the unconscious as symbolism, whether that be ritualistically or symbolically, therefore making them conscious and reducing their energy potential in our unconscious.

I think it was a reference to American philosopher and writer Susan Sonntag. The quote is: "I envy paranoids; they actually feel people are paying attention to them."
Just recently watched this quite fascinating (at least to me) conversation she had with John Berger on story telling:

Power being the manifestation of weakness in the world has to be the biggest generalization these psychoanalysts created... only the subjectivity knows the backstory of one's power. A lot of powerful individuals do not exert their power, us observers as individuals noticing how greater they are at X or Y (mostly subconsciously) creates the image of power in our head, which can actually be just fact, not a cope from the powerful individual. See, the problem I see with pseudo-intellectual uknown IQ left leaning philosophists is that they try so hard to achieve hierarchical equity between us humans... they reach some deep conclusions, extremely intelligent and just magical to hear, but then they try to judge the totallity of humanity by those ideas, just to navigate towards that final intellectual equity... while arguing about subjectivity, they leave this indirect feeling of objective/global parity/equivalence between humans. All the good turns out to be coming from the bad, all the strength comes out to be coming from the weakness... they are just normative agents of the matrix, if you really think about it.
Subjectivity tells me I make my own hierarchy, I act due to my deeply unconscious and conscious reasons and that no generalization will make the ends meet.
In summary, power can come from a place of power. Just like it can come from a place of weakness. No one cares to try to locate those in individuals, its like kierkegaard said about naming the sheep... you know it's most people, but if you try to name them you will fail.
