I love how some of the information is incorrect. The Royal Family spend Christmas at their private estate Sandringham House near Sandringham, Norfolk, not Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Cambridge is officially HRH Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, Countess of Strathearn and Lady Carrickfergus but, in England she is known as the Duchess of Cambridge an, English title, In Scotland she is know as the Countess of Strathearn, a Scottish title and in northern Ireland she is known as the Lady Carrickfergus a northern Irish title. The Duchess of Cambridge is the senior title and that is the title commonly used and she is just addressed in person as Her Royal Highness and Ma'am after, not Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. The Cambridges do not do the "royal wave" as you call it, they wave normally. A lot of these rules are outdated..... fact check your information
Your info about nicknames is completely wrong. Prince Harry’s name is a nickname that we all use. His real name is Henry. Nicknames may not be used by non-members of the Royal Family but within the Royal Family, nicknames are almost always used. The Queen was called Lillibet by her family all the time and Prince Philip has called her “Cabbage” forever. William has been called “Wills” by his brother even when it could be overheard, Catherine is “Kate”, and Harry has been called “Spike” by his friends and even called “Ginger” by his brother. The Queen is called Gan-gan by some of her grandchildren and Kate even said that on an interview. They are more than tolerable to nick names, it seems that they are more common with the Royal Family than they are with us usual folk but of course we can’t go up to the Queen and call her “Cabbage”...who would try that?
And this channel's own other video explained that the children are often refereed to at school by surnames selected by their family, referring to their parent's titles. Like Prince Harry and Prince William being enrolled in school as Harry Wales and William Wales.
If we disobey these rules and we were royalty, we’ll end up like those kids in movies who want to be different from their whole family and become a myth.
For such young children they are learning languages at a very slow pace. I thought I was going to be blown away by their strict language rule, but he's 4 and only knows some numbers in Spanish 😂😂😂 Those were the most important years for learning languages. I'm assuming she got some bad intel or they just don't take that rule seriously
Starting to learn Spanish at 4 is amazing - in the states most don't start learning languages until they are 13 or 14. I've no idea about other countries.
@@MeiDouthitt In Germany each child starts learning English in grade 1, being about 6 years old. A third language is introduced at age 11 in sixth grade. Tgey get to choose between French, Latin or Spanish, depending on the school. Many children begin to learn English in Kindergarten (age 2-6)

Yeah, I have no idea where they got the nickname thing from - they're very commonplace in the royal family. Even going back a couple of generations, you only have to look at Queen Victoria's family - all of her children, bar two, had a nickname, and generally one which they were better known by than their real name. Edward VIII and George VI were known as David and Bertie for most of their lives. You're right about Sandringham too - and if I'm not mistaken, it's not a requirement to spend Christmas with the royal family if you're a part of it - at the very least, not Christmas Day.
Vala Dina The video language is a little bit 'heavy' - children are schooled into recognising certain expected standards of behaviour. Royal children aren't 'forced', we've come quite a way since the 19th century when not only royal children were beaten into line.
Vala Dina, It's like learning to play the piano - a little at a time. It's my opinion that many of the so-called rules are no longer followed. The principal aim of training the children is to ensure they know how to behave appropriately in public and private. You may have noticed both Prince George and Princess Charlotte being 'difficult' in some of the videos - that's the sort of thing that has to be overcome as they get older and understand.
Gordon Smith I don't understand, I have children and they were once young and yes to have to be disciplined but at the same time children need to be children, I do understand having to take proper etiquette classes, learning different language because they travel all over the world but I'm just saying some of the rules you do have to admit or just a little too ridiculous, especially the queen eating part, that don't make no sense all right
Vala Dina I'm sure you're right. Ordinary, everyday good manners, being polite etc are things that have to be taught - I suspect the list is probably way out of date. Queen Victoria was a notoriously greedy eater - I'm sure Queen Elizabeth is far better mannered!!

is it just me is it going to put them in jail for rebelling against the rules? cause no one signed anything to say they have to follow especially not the kids.
Evie Addy, well, unless you want to get disowned you probably should follow those rules. Also they are born into learning these rules so they would have no reason to go against them.
actually once they eventually get old enough to wonder about the world and then join the military especially for George since that is a rule of the monarchy you know every son of the royal family has to enter one military force or an other. they will learn the simpler things and start to struggle with the rules and besides if you cant be yourself with your own family then whats the point. Just the thought of having to follow such life makes me shudder, you might not need to worry about having food, clothes or place to live, but there would be very little freedom.
They are an anachronism and hypocritical especially their religion which was born out of the sex life of Henry the 8th and really it is a catholic religion only minus priests marrying or having the confessional. The head of state is in fact a replacement pope a nasty but clever political move with about as much to do with believing in god as you getting to be royal.
I think what they mean was that, there always must be called by commoners with 'Royal Highness' 'Prince' or 'Your Highness'. Only the Royal Family Members can call them with nicknames.
it's good to be yourself live life according to yourself...in which u find happiness than being a member of royal family... From now I don't want to be princess I don't like these rules...I'm princess in my own life😏😍👸
Everyone must love the royalty to which they were born to in time, our lifetime, we have seen Queen Elizabeth, Diana, and prince William, I appreciate them.
the only thing I'm surprised about, is how much of the video was blurred out, for no reason at all, all those photos are all over the internet and not considered private.
Bethy Boo Yes and no Bethy, Harry is an accepted diminutive, along with Hal, for Henry. The video ignores the known fact that the Queen was known as 'Lillibet' as a child.
Perhaps their meaning of nicknames refers to "Chubby" for a royal who has overindulged. Or maybe "Pinocchio" for a long nosed royal. I'm sure there is no shortage of these. Ooopppps. You get my meaning.
Oh ok so the queen doesn’t have a passport? I always wondered whether she could hold up a £20 note or something and use that😂😂 Play a little game with the passport guy.... heads or tails?😂😂
I'd end up confined to the Tower of London after the Queen finishes her meal and catches me sneaking out with my plate of food...and my drink...and my dessert.
Prince Harry's name is "Henry Charles Albert David", but his nickname is Harry and that's what he's always been called. Kinda puts the kabosh on the nickname rule, doesn't it?
Yes, but what they mean is a commoner shouldn’t refer to them by their nickname to their face. Queen Elizabeth is Her Majesty the Queen. If you call her Lilibet she would probably punch you.
I am from very ordinary family. My grandson's went to a prep school where they wore corduroy shorts as they were part of the uniform. It isn't a very unusual thing to happen.
There is nothing wrong with saying the words pardon and bathroom and things like that. We are all equal and everyone should teach there children that, even royal children.
Some of these are incorrect and do you honestly think that they don't cross their legs and things, when they are in private most of these rules are for occasions where the public and company is around where they can be seen. My old teacher went to uni with Will and Kate was friends with them, Will certainly broke some of those so-called "rules" and Harry definitely does haha
Even if I’m not a Royal I can relate to some of this stuff. I was born into to a richer family so this stuff is relatable such as dress code, how to sit, how to eat, what to eat, learning different languages, and more. While I’ve been growing up I was expected to do so much but never felt good enough. When kids called me spoiled it hurt because I didn’t grow up spoiled. I had to earn everything even if my parents do make a lot of money. Anyone who is watching this wishing they were rich or a royal think twice it is not as good as it seems. Either you are spoiled for no reason or kids call you spoiled when you’re not.
I Love you The rich kids in my university are all chill ^_^ this is the great thing about this century a bit, some of the rich parents want their kids to experience the life before the wealth. So some of my friends can actually relate to us common folks ^_^
Nightcore_ Ricktor I agree. Being in university is much easier to deal with this stuff. People don’t care that much any more about how much money you and your family have unlike in high school and middle school.
Same. I know what you mean. I wasn't called spoiled but envied upon for no reason. Oh envy can be still be healthy, I mean the bitter foul kind of jealous.. People that with some kind of complex are always trying to downsize you or be in some self-created competition you aren't aware of..
I just got to the one about gifts. Reminded me that one of the teachers at my school who sponsored anime club gave me her kimono that she got originally for international night, I wore it because it got too hot for her. And almost 3 months later I own it now lol
Wow- It's odd seeing everyone complain about these rules when I was born into a common family myself and taught these same things when I was young. But think about it- These royal children grow up with these rules, not to mention the fact that many have been carried down through generations, so it wouldn't be so hard for them compared to the average person!! ^^ Though, my great-great uncle was a knight in Germany himself and I was also taught these rules from a young age, so I don't mean to put myself up on a pedestal! ^^

Great channel but I never want to be royal
I agree
Love this channel!! But! I am glad that I am not royal!!!
Me too
Me too. I will never be able to get rid of my habit “with the hands in pockets and head looking down while I walk”
Royals childrens are not by choice but by birth
I hope the queen eats slow. I'd be mad if I had to stop eating. I'd be calling uber eats lol
Jay Dee A little bit of Everything
You hope the queen eats slow but you'd be mad if you had to stop eating because of that? Then dont wish for her to eat slow.
that’s funny. I grew up on all of these rules.
Who else saw a thing in the middle of the screen that some people put on faces of some persons when they don’t want to show their face...
I like getting socks at Christmas lol
Same.
ItsMe Oreo22 same fluffy socks are what I look forward to the most
Laura Davis yes!!!
And to think that we were forced to join family game night 😀
I'm glad I'm living free and doing whatever I want lol
JTheOne. Nice JH
JTheOne That's what you think
JTheOne
You still have to follow rules.
Gordon Smith obviously
Just the thought of having to follow such life makes me shudder, you might not need to worry about having food, clothes or place to live, but there would be very little freedom.
Man!! Monopoly makes you tough. That will be a requirement in my household!!
What’s with that blurry block? Like at 10:06 the whole thing is covered. It starts at 7:08
Can royal family adopt me? I have no manners like them, but I'll learn :D
Serbian Traveler 😁😁😁😁
Serbian Traveler xD
Yep😂
They are an anachronism and hypocritical especially their religion which was born out of the sex life of Henry the 8th and really it is a catholic religion only minus priests marrying or having the confessional. The head of state is in fact a replacement pope a nasty but clever political move with about as much to do with believing in god as you getting to be royal.
to be honest I prefer where I am now than to live in the royal family
I’m pretty sure that Harry is a nickname. His actual name is Henry Charles Albert David.
Yes & Queen's nickname is Lilibet(but I think only her parents called her that)
I think what they mean was that, there always must be called by commoners with 'Royal Highness' 'Prince' or 'Your Highness'. Only the Royal Family Members can call them with nicknames.
I think it was Margaret who called her that. I do remember reading that when she signed her mother's 100th birthday card she signed it Lilabet.
And Beatrice just before him. I don't know if they're considering abridged names to be 'nicknames' though because there were two "Berties" as well.
RD Castillo: "Only the Royal Family Members can call them with nicknames." Prince Henry is ALWAYS referred to by the diminutive "Harry".
it's good to be yourself live life according to yourself...in which u find happiness than being a member of royal family...
From now I don't want to be princess I don't like these rules...I'm princess in my own life😏😍👸
Princess Shanzy Yes be yourself if you want to but having standards is very good.
rosemary ellert standards not give u happiness...do what makes u happy and thats my rule...yeah standards are good but not at the cost of happiness
Shanzy Saeed yes, you are a Princess in your own life. We all must remember that we are all Royalty in our own lives. Be happy.
Everyone must love the royalty to which they were born to in time, our lifetime, we have seen Queen Elizabeth, Diana, and prince William, I appreciate them.
Has anyone realised at 7:26 there is a weird blob on the screen for the rest of the vid
huh... why there is a part is censored
#Earlysquad ! Subscribed.
Is anyone else getting blurry squares in their screen?
o9yron
Kathleen Gayron I am too! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy????????? Its weird
Kathleen Gayron yes everyone is geting the blurr
OMG THEY USED THE PHOTO WITH HARRY STYLES IM SO HAPPY
the only thing I'm surprised about, is how much of the video was blurred out, for no reason at all, all those photos are all over the internet and not considered private.
I like videos like this because some of them actually make sense and teach you basic things you should already do. Not many in this video for example.
You do realise that Harry is a nickname right ?
Bethy Boo
Yes and no Bethy, Harry is an accepted diminutive, along with Hal, for Henry.
Gordon Smith, and George calls her Gan gan.
Maybe they mean they can't be called with insulting nicknames that we, commoners get.
My son called my mother 'gangan', and so did other children that I knew.
I think they are proving that child has better memory than adult
Is it just me or is the screen sometimes blurred for some reason? Copyright? Going against TH-cam requirements?
Oh ok so the queen doesn’t have a passport? I always wondered whether she could hold up a £20 note or something and use that😂😂 Play a little game with the passport guy.... heads or tails?😂😂
The eating rule will make you lose £999/lbs.
If I were in the royal family’s I would get beat up by my parents all the time hahahaha 😂
I'd end up confined to the Tower of London after the Queen finishes her meal and catches me sneaking out with my plate of food...and my drink...and my dessert.
@@sarahgiadelcampo7712 oh no
'viscous' arguments... LMAO. only the royal family gets into the thickest, most viscous arguments.
None of them were much suprising as i expected more strict rules from them but ya they r fine
1:39
1-Chinese
2-Spanish
3-English
Did anyone else see the large blurry rectangle on the screen?
I’m so glad that Prince George can now finally wear pants since he is old enough now!
Prince Harry's name is "Henry Charles Albert David", but his nickname is Harry and that's what he's always been called. Kinda puts the kabosh on the nickname rule, doesn't it?
Yeah and queen elizabeth is also called Lillibet
The nickname one is full of crap, the Queen's nickname is "Lilibet"
that is right, and the queen's sister margaret was called "margo."
Yes, but what they mean is a commoner shouldn’t refer to them by their nickname to their face. Queen Elizabeth is Her Majesty the Queen. If you call her Lilibet she would probably punch you.
Daniella Smochko walkersfl
The privacy box over the images gets annoying toward the end of the video because it's hiding things that aren't classified or sensitive.
I am from very ordinary family. My grandson's went to a prep school where they wore corduroy shorts as they were part of the uniform. It isn't a very unusual thing to happen.
I'd have enjoyed this more if there weren't so many freakin' adverts. I gave up after the fourth one.
Get an adblocker.
Lol, when they're alone, they probably act normally lol.
At least that's what I think. :/
Sandra Aozora i hope so
I don't even think they know what normal is. This is royalty we're talking about.
Sandra Aozora kl
ZTE gu0ni
Anne Liesvel d
why is it blur?
And my 8 yr old self wanted to be a princess before...
1:23 omg i saw szervusz😍 FINALLY A WORD IN MY LANGUAGE IN AN ENGLISH VIDEO
There is nothing wrong with saying the words pardon and bathroom and things like that. We are all equal and everyone should teach there children that, even royal children.
Sorry! When I said "there children" I meant "their" sorry about that!
there is an Edit button
Oh... thank you.
We aren't all equal.
Adidas Love, why not?
If I was the queen then my brother wouldn’t even take 2 bites of his meal XD
Eevee The Shiny Fox LoL
I'd use a doggy bag under the table lol
The queen always has a side salad which she toys with so others can eat at their ease.
Im South African and this rule of eating is the highlight for me..Lol
Hahahahaha
I would not last a day if I was a royal kid
However you are brought up, is normal to you.
What was it with all of the censorship?
What's with the blurring mate. Why can you show full content!!!😠
Crossing your legs is bad for the circulation.
Obviously these are for public/official occasions! In private they’ll just be like anyone else
Not to disagree, but pretty much every immigrant child knows at least 2 languages before they're 3/4.
Konrad Mayer Lol in Malaysia at least 2-3 languages and possibly 1-2 dialects of mother tongue😂
in india it's common for people to know 3-4 languages and it's easy to find people who speak up to 6 or 7
Even if I’m not a Royal I can relate to some of this stuff.
I Love you x
And almost 3 months later I own it now lol
i really love TheTalko.....so much of new stuff am impressed
The monopoly one is really strange and pointless lol 😂😂
Wow- It's odd seeing everyone complain about these rules when I was born into a common family myself and taught these same things when I was young. But think about it- These royal children grow up with these rules, not to mention the fact that many have been carried down through generations, so it wouldn't be so hard for them compared to the average person!! ^^ Though, my great-great uncle was a knight in Germany himself and I was also taught these rules from a young age, so I don't mean to put myself up on a pedestal! ^^
How is it like to live with these rules?!
The blurred screen made it hard to watch at times.
10 Reasons The Mario and Luigi Of The Royal Family don’t have to follow the rules. For example, Ice Cube and Rocky are the Mario and Luigi Of Cambridge.
On the contrary, a package of brand new socks is just about as great as it gets when it comes to Christmas!!!
