The high hat shuffle and pocketed bass is a bed rock to Dan Reed's amazing vocals. Love the amagamation of sound. The solo guitar breathes a passion that makes me put this song on repeat. Thank you for this.

One of the world's most underrated bands - loved them in the 80's and just picked them up again. Still so good! Such quality in all departments!
Only just discovered this band in the last week through classic rock magazine 100 influential 80s albums. I bought the slam album and was blown away by the quality of the songwriting. This song is as good if not better than anything on that. From now on I will be harassing everyone I know to listen to this band!

Just come back from a extreme concert in Birmingham and Dan read network were the start up band . I have never heard of them but they are bloody awesome . If they did I tour of the UK I would definitely go . Oh and buying their album . Happy days 😁😁😁

Got to see these guys few week's ago in Glasgow. I had 1 or 2 of there album's in the late 80s, am sure rainbow child was the song that got me listening to them .Anyway was great to see them live and our very own Mason hill were brilliant also .

Heard Rainbow Child twenty plus years ago and loved it.... Then unfortunately forgot about it. About a year ago I remembered DRN and had another look and listen ... And pretty much fell in love with the music of the band and indeed Dan Reed solo. I'm sure there must be a growing audience for this brilliant music X

Barcelona, Spain Saturday December 2nd 1989 opening for Bon Jovi. First time I knew of them. Fell in love since the very first song. That 3 first albums are pure bliss.
And the new albums are great too. "Champion" is not only one of their best songs, is simply one of the best songs ever. Thank You guys.

Loved these guys since the late 80's, and i can't believe i'm finally gonna see them next week, for the first time. I really can't wait! Of course i got this album (on both cd AND my Apple Music) at the time of release, and loved it obviously. `But, seeing this vid. has floored me! I hadn't seen it before. It's made me fall deeply in love with this track! It hadn't quite connected with me prior to this. Nearly, but not quite. Just ridiculously good! I hope i meet the guys next week, so i can tell 'em just how special they have been to me for the past 30 years, which is actually well over half of my life. Jeez! Life moves too fast... \m/ (:o)
*Update* - Well yeah, i saw the guys, and was absolutely floored by just how amazing they are live. And yes, i was lucky, no... i was honoured, to actually get to meet with them afterwards. Wow! Such nice, down-to-earth, humble, friendly (need i go on? Lol!) guys! I did tell Mr Reed that, to my shame this was my first time seeing them, but i did add that it certainly won't be my last. It was, without a shadow of doubt, a true highlight of my 52 years (and counting!) on this planet! Thank you so much Guys, for everything... \m/ (:o)

Rob Dakier on Keyboards in this line-up. He and Dan have been collaborating for a while. Slowrush was a great band of Rob's that Dan wrote on. All said, one our our favourites of all time is DRN
This song is superb and even with guitar-solo (so rare in our times).
ILoveHelis brion james is such an underrated guitarist. his guitar solos are so melodic and memorable unlike so many other so called top guitarists

Paul Meaden I was at the Robin 2 last year when they played all the hits and it was a very good show. However, I'm not at all keen on the new album, no funk, very bland and not a great production either.
Gets better every time I hear this song.and again

Eine sehr besondere Stimme. Die Lyrics sind auch sehr schön und die Melodie ist mir am Anfang etwas zu technologisch aber dann startet der Song sehr schön durch.

Dan reed network toured England with Bon Jovi in the early 90s and went down well but polygram and MTV just could not break them in America.They were labeled as prince with balls.Lets hope 5 albums down the road these Portland Oregon boys can go out on tour and reach a larger mass of people.

I've come to the conclusion that they got robbed by not hooking up with a major league producer back in 88-89, because they sounded WAY BETTER live than in the studio, which is the opposite of other bands.

I don't like the fact that this guy sounds like Phil Collins.
I dont get comparison at all. Dan still has a lovely tone even though you can see the years have matured his voice. Collins was on Tv a few weeks back singing against all odds and was truly awful - hes finished as a singer
