Re: "imperfections" - the old Chinese and Japanese artists (ceramics, painting, etc) always used to include at least one "imperfection" in their works, as a statement that human actions are always imperfect and that "perfection" is an illusion based on imperfect understanding of nature.
One of the things I love about your channel is that you aren’t afraid to share your experiments and occasional disappointments along with the high points. In that area you are a rarity. I think it came out beautifully! ❤
I would never had thought such a rock would hide such beauty! Thank you for show this. Never gave a thought that such a rock could be beautiful and magnetic at the same time!
I do drywall and we were taping an A frame house up in Silver Bay RIGHT on the shore to Lake Superior. I loved finding/picking all kinds of amazing, but small, agates and interesting rocks during lunch break xD My coworker was actually the one that recommended your channel to me as he didnt think I'd be on the shore picking with him EVERY lunch break. Theres something so absolutely peaceful about being on the lake and just spending hours finding some of the most interesting pieces you could think of!
It's absolutely beautiful with it's imperfections and all. Remember, nothing in nature is perfect, even ourselves. Like Charlie Brown and his Christmas tree, embrace it for all the joy it brings it's beautiful. TY and Happy Holidays.
I love how you can make «humble and normal» rock look sooo god. And it is so fun to see how many different types of rock and minerals exist right under our feet every day :)
Is it imperfect? Yes. Is it beautiful? YES! I also like how this shows what experience does: Everyone saw the ordinary rock, but you also saw what it could be before you made it happen. Thank you for sharing!
I just love all your video's. Thank you for your beautiful smile and putting one on me when you open up these beauties. Many blessings to you and your family. Also for explaining the process of polishing, etc.😀🎵🎶♥
Cool! Looks like 2 of the 3 faces are flawless. I know "museum quality" designates quality, not as a step to go to the Field Museum to sell it. But to get literal, I'd be curious what specimens in a natural history museum actually look like. As a friend will tell me, what looks like flaws add character...and I'd add, is true to the material. Meanwhile, I have equipment envy: that CabKing is a beast, I need that water pump, flat lap!, and the water delivery system is darn creative...all those tunes grom a central, ample supply. As usual Taylor you keep it real while making it look great!
You don't have to pretend like the landscaping rocks weren't your destination. 😁 Well done on the stone, sorry it wouldn't cooperate. I wonder if it being out in the oxygen and sunshine made it more brittle
I think it's stunning. I think that nothing in this world is perfect, and it's perfect with its imperfections. It just makes it unique and what it is, if you expect everything to be 100% perfect, it's not reality so I love it a lot. I think it's beautiful. I'm just sad that you had to lose so much of the rock to get it polished.
This is really beautiful Feldspar is very temperamental! Ihave a multi coloured polished stone similar Purple, dark red , black, Some shiny black And the little holes
Looks beautiful. Reminds me of meteorite that I’ve seen in natural history museums. I love the music you chose for each video. Always seems just right each one!
So, I rate your output at 9, which qualifies for a place in the Rockaholics Auction. We'll send you the paperwork and contracts; the starting bid shall be $199.99 (as seen on TV!). Seriously, very professional. When I have a specimen I want to perfect and it undercuts or keeps blowing out projectiles at me (trying to take out my vision), I use Starbond, fill those pockets and move on. That video half-screen montage was a funky parlay. I was not ready for it and it left me traumatized!
Have a great day ❤
hugs from Argentina
Happy holidays!
Sir, I have a huge chunk of fulgurite, lightening glass stone, looking to sell it
Same to you wonderful Soul.😃
Same to you .❤

I do not know what "qualifies" as museum quality, but it is a very attractive piece of natural art, worthy of display. That is good enough for me!
Really beautiful, imperfections, a.k.a. character, and all! ROCK ON!! 😁👍🏻🪨💦
I did not expect it to be so beautiful!! Dang
Absolutely beautiful stones 🫶🏻👌🤘🏻✌🏻🤗🥰👍🏻👋🏻😍
Beautiful stone. Imperfections enhance the textured look of how the stone formed. Can’t improve on the creator! 😊
