To be honest thats because Poirier got finished by Khabib and Oliveira in the 3rd rounds, I think Poirier didn't prepare well for Khabib's grappling before, he tried guillotine and made a mistake, vs Oliveira, Poirier won the 1st round with a knockdown, then Poirier made a mistake to not trying to get up in 2nd round after Oliveira was desperate to take Poirier to the ground and Poirier took too much damage there because of not trying to get up, vs Makhachev, Poirier didn't make the same mistakes, Poirier didn't try guillotines and he tried to get up, he was better prepared with training with Gamrot and his last camp before that was against another grappler BSD that helped Poirier too vs Makhachev. Also Makhachev's staph before the fight was probably one of the reasons why Makhachev couldn't finish Poirier early.
