Fantastic video and music choice. I came to see the camera footage and I ended dreaming about traveling in nature.

How come no zooming demo? i mean nice video otherwise but would have liked to see the zoom in action

We do demonstrate the amazing full range of the zoom with both close and wide shots, but try to avoid zooming for artistic style. The variable speed zoom functions very well, although the slowest speed is not slow enough for subtlety.

Thanks for posting this. I have a question about the X1500: Do the zoom and focus rings turn forever or do they have physical limits that prevent you from turning them any further? Also, how much hard do you have to push the rings to turn them? (e.g. How much friction is there?) I'd like to put an X1500 on a gimbal with a follow focus motor and I'm curious if the motor will have enough power to turn the rings (assuming I install a gear). Thanks!

The rings do not have end stops; they work electronically, but with good action. The friction is just right for manual operation and I don't imagine will pose a problem to a follow focus motor and gear, however I predict you will end up relying on auto focus as it's that good.

Hi. Did you color grade it?

No, that was more or less untweaked.

Great footage. Thank you! Are you still satisfied with with the two newcomers? Button size and operation? I am still wiggling between the HC-X1500 and the G9. I need a video camera for my solo kayaking expeditions in Greenland. G9 is weatherproof; but the X1500 seems to be ready for shooting right out the bag.

We are very satisfied with both our camcorders, which have proved extremely versatile for a wide range of projects. They're not weatherproof though.

Shot in standard mode, but with Dynamic Range Stretch engaged, which really helps prevent clipping.

meh looks well video, colours are gross and its so sharp, no gradient between colour tones and carp dynamic range, I am dissapointed .. GH5 wins hands down
