Made these for dinner tonight. Added a few things: kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass, spring onion, coriander, some chili flakes and a few drops of sesame oil to give it a bit of flavour. They turned out great in the air fryer and the flavour was awesome. Thanks very much for sharing this recipe.
I've never had kaffir lime leaf or lemon leaf and I have no idea what to do with coriander, so thanks for the information. I'll try it. Can you give how much of each you use?

I'll using cooked quinoa instead of rice noodles and I sauteed cabbage, carrots, onion, peppers, mushrooms and have lentil sprouts, cilantro and mint to add when I roll. After watching your video, I will make sure to drain my veggies! Hope this will work as well as yours!!

Hi! Thanks for watching! I didn’t want the rice paper to get over saturated and tacky in the air fryer so less moisture worked best (also made them crispier)! I’ve never frozen rice paper egg rolls bc the wrap can be finicky. You can try cooking them first then freezing. With traditional egg roll wrappers, you can freeze cooked/uncooked.

Yes you can but I recommend using regular egg roll wrapper brushed with oil before freezing. The egg rolls don't need to be cooked before freezing. Re: rice paper (in this video), you may be able to freeze if cooked ahead of time though I've never tried but maybe test a small batch and see how they reheat :)
I don't know about this recipe. But the recipe i grew up with, we freeze the filling and take out to cook as needed. My mix freezes great. But I have no vegetables in it other than onion. So depending on the filling you use, that might also work.
an air fryer is essentially a convection oven because of the way it circulates heat. You will know if you have a convection oven at home b/c of settings on your oven.
When I’ve made mine, they get very chewy so on the first bite, everything just falls off. It’s not like an egg roll where after the first bite, the roll remains rolled up… any tips?

oh no! did you oil the rolls and was the bottom of you air fryer well oiled? the spring rolls need to have some slide in the basket or they will stick. you also need to shake the basket halfway through

I've always taken a big pan with hot water and soaked them in.... usually around 5 to 10 at a time. Start pulling them out and wrapping. But honestly, if you get the same result with the towel, I don't think it matters. The biggest thing I've found, is finding a good brand that doesn't break super easy. (Some brands are better than others).

I rarely deep fr anymore. texture on spring roll paper is going to be chewier but I like that! reminds me of Vietnamese cha gio!

I did exactly what you did for the air fryer. But my spring rolls all got stuck to the bottom and broke

I just feel like for the meat I would have cooked it before stuffing the rice paper. Just because you just never know with meat.

Traditional egg roll wrappers have been made with eggs but that’s changed over time. Lots of history behind it via google!
