Thus circumcision should be banned at birth in the US unless needed for any real medical purpose. The child when they are able to think for themselves at an older age, make that decision. No one should make that choice to the child
Children don't make a lot of decisions. And for a reason. The reason the government has no say is because it's usually a religious decision. And unlike so many other..."procedures"... that people like to compare it too, unless the procedure is botched, circumcision doesn't actually hurt you later in life or you keep you from functioning normally. I’m pro life, and the circumsicion argument is a good one. Why is that ok? It’s not medically necessary, and there is a risk to the child, however small
Women like to point out that men have full rights. No we don't. Most of us in America get circumcised with out consent. And there are times where that operation will destroy any sexual function when that baby reaches adulthood.
Very few people have seriouse negative reactions to vaccinations aswell should we just stop vaccinating the population because a few had bad reactions?
What research are you looking at? All the studies I've seen say that it powers your chances of stds, aids, and less chance of penile cancer and uti. That's only a few of the benefits. A quick Google search, I found a paper on nih that shows that cut men have less chance of getting herpes. That's not the only std. The list goes on. Where are you getting your information?
Yeah it *may* have been an argument when we all lived in the desert, before clean water and antibiotics and access to soap..but now it's just a barbaric practice that we try and brainwash people and say, "God made a mistake, you need to hurt your baby"
If the human male has made it this far, hundreds of thousands of years later, with extra skin there, then how come it’s now a problem? Makes no sense. I wash it everyday and why would anyone care if it’s clean down there or not? The only one who cares for me is my gf. Other than that, why should I care what anyone else has to say. Make it make sense
you thought the majority of the worlds population looked at their sons pen*s and went " yeah lets mutilate that and let a rabbi fellate the wound because god/evolution make a mistake and i want my son to grow up to be sexually frustrated sociopath that will never experience real pleasure..."? why on earth would you think that? did you think unnecessarily amputating functional parts of infants and leaving them scared and mutilated was normal?
It's not an excuse to acknowledge that the cut reduces surface area for bacteria/viruses to fester which inherently reduces the likelihood of contracting STIs/STDs. This can be negated with proper hygiene, but be honest with yourself, what's the ratio of men you know with proper hygiene?
Oddly there is actually a negative stigma in the states towards uncircumcised penises. They’re thought to be gross looking and non- circumcised wangs are generally thought to be less hygienic. I’m natural and never had any of these issues. I don’t judge anyone one way or another but when it comes up you’ll often hear circumcised men talk down and say negative things about natural penises. Kinda odd considering if I wanted to I could get one right now but they’ll never have the choice. I had 2 sons and left them alone. Figured if it really matters to them they can handle it as an adult who made an informed and personal decision.
I agree on the surface, but it bothers me deeply that gays (and now trans) are far more prevalent in TV and the movies than their actual numbers would justify. I'm not complaining they should be hidden or ignored, but take a look at all the network garbage these days.
@@dasworkshop4967 I agree with you 100% on that. What I have a problem is changing our children. That's a problemwhen they turn 18. They can do whatever they want. 100%. I would never be with an uncut man again. It may not be a cleanliness issue with them but I don't need a urinary or yeast infection from them. Plus the thought of oral with one again is not appealing.
I think it is about cleanliness depending on the society it's in. If std's & homelessness & drug use are at an all time high in many areas are those caught in that storm healthier or less likely to have issues without circumcision?
i highly doubt that many women are doing that. chris literally said that 75% of the world is not circumcised so it's probably a low percentage of people who are not only pro choice and also people who are circumcising their children. it's not a big deal bro

@Ash-uf4fv this is just not true. While it depends upon the individuals degree of foreskin, it is a fact that people with in tact foreskin contract more stds specifically because of the reality that having that foreskin traps and holds bacteria and germs close to the sensitive skin and urethra for much longer.

@@ericswart3786 I get where you’re coming from, I just disagree that this one is in your purview as a parent. We’re talking about an irreversible procedure that only affects you as an adult. The decisions that parents do and should have authority to make are the ones that immediately affect the child or cannot be done later, especially as it concerns health and development. With something like this, there is no potential for harm in waiting for the man to make his own decision when he is grown and can evaluate its consequences for himself, so the parents should not make it for him.

I agree with pretty much all of his answers.. I was surprised to learn the percentage of circumcisions though I always thought it was more

why on earth would you think that? did you think unnecessarily amputating functional parts of infants and leaving them scared and mutilated was normal?
Yeah, America is very weird about that. It's something that we do that isn't necessary and has too many excuses made for it.
It's not an excuse to acknowledge that the cut reduces surface area for bacteria/viruses to fester which inherently reduces the likelihood of contracting STIs/STDs. This can be negated with proper hygiene, but be honest with yourself, what's the ratio of men you know with proper hygiene?
Imagine arguing that we should mutilate a perfectly healthy body part instead of advocating to teach people better hygiene.

I’m natural and never had any of these issues. I don’t judge anyone one way or another but when it comes up you’ll often hear circumcised men talk down and say negative things about natural penises.
