Being Rejected For The Job | The Interview | My Takeaway

You can rehearse your lines over and over for the big production (THE interview for THE job)
As you do so, your anxiety brews and this day suddenly feels like the biggest day of your life.
You've crossed the T's and dotted the I's and you still came up short. Was it down to lack of effort? Did I smell? Was this never meant to be? Nonesense, strive on!
Here is my TRANSPARENT interview experience step-by-step from start to finish for a teaching post. I hope this helps you to prepare and calm any nerves you may be experiencing
Here was the general structure:
1) Meet the leadership team
2) Lesson Observations
3)School council interview
3) Meet the department
4)Tour of the school
5) Interview with panel
Here is a list of some interview questions in the video to help you prepare:
What made you apply to this school?
What makes you stand out?
How will you raise standards?
What enrichment opportunities will you offer to contribute to the wider life of school?
Tell me about yourself? Hobbies? Background?
Give me your understanding of safeguarding
Give me an instance where you had a challenging class and how you managed it
Please share your experiences in the comments, whether in teaching or a completely different direction.
Just know that you are not alone and alot of these interviews are just a tickbox activity.
I believe they want to get a feel for who you are. Be yourself!
