This student learned a LOT from MSHQ and it showed. They felt that their success was how they told their story. They have one acceptance and one waitlist and were able to decline the waitlist because they loved where they were accepted to. They did great at not trying to sell themselves,

What an awesome privilege to be able to appear on your show Dr. Gray! Just signed my lease for an apartment in Ohio, met my classmates and professors, and toured the campus earlier this month. Very excited for what’s to come, and very grateful.
Good for him! It took me three cycles, an SMP (only recommend under certain circumstances), and a lot of hard work but I made it in. I'm over 40 and made sure to put that up front. Show what makes you, you. Don't hide your differences; demonstrate that they have shaped who you are. Your failures are not a hindrance unless you refuse to learn from them and let them hold you back. Learn from them, grow from them and show how you've done it. Congrats to this guy and best of luck to everyone else on the road.
I love this… after watching lots of dr grey mission accepted and reading his books, I got accepted with a 495. It’s possible. GPA was like a 3.3 but I did have a solid upward trend tho. 3.5, 3.0, 3.7 and 3.9 for cGPA.
I have similar stats. Did you go DO or MD?
@@britnyowens7021 I applied to both. Got secondary invites to both. The moment I got my first acceptance into a DO program, I withdrew my application from all the MD and rest of DO schools. I figured someone else could use that spot. Plus, I have a stronger preference for DO schools based on my experiences working with both MDs and DOs. So its just to say apply and go with what you feel suits your needs. Also, I wanted to save money haha. Applying, going for interviews and all that isn’t cheap lol
Nice 495? I got a 494 and I’m currently applying but I got a upward trend in gpa
@@kylelogan3923 that’s good but I’d recommend retaking… I am not the norm… I’m an exception. I had a lot of positive experiences that went well for me.

awesome. I had a cGPA of 2.9 and 500 MCAT and also just got my first acceptance. I did have an upward trend 2.4 (undergrad), (post-bacc) 3.85, and then (SMP) 3.98. Anything is possible.
Been watching this channel for the past year! Had a low GPA but took your advise this cycle during my first application attempt (told stories, didn't try to sell, etc.) and got into multiple schools! Thank you so much for all that you do!
