Yo Evan. The interest in MTB as a whole is in decline. You caught and upswell in interest during pandemic, it doesn’t mean you are doing anything wrong. Your videos caught a specific vibe that worked during that time, piecing together bikes with disparate parts to make the best thing you can with limited resources. Your stuff is great, but audiences are fickle. Just keep doing your thing and innovating you will get your footing again.
Evan your videos are what got me doing my own channel to help get myself back motivated and riding again after a few years off , keep it up ild love to be where you are on TH-cam
Thank you for the Oklahoma love. The race you speak of is the opening race to the tour de dirt series here in Oklahoma. Its a great series. A few pros compete in the xc cat 1 class
Thanks for the thoughts Evan, being a single-person creator is a challenge and I appreciate hearing other views from people that do not have a team working with them.
Dude, MTB vids are a crap shoot. FYI I am 55, I bike 5 days a week (weather permitting) and I watch videos for these reasons: looking for reviews(Vital MTB!!!), wanting to see entertainment (like bobo), watching events like Redbull Hardline or other big races, looking for new trails to ride, or just trying to motivate myself to get better at a certain skill(like jumps!). I don't envy you man, trying to find that sweet spot must be hard. Your videos are great but your main channel and the high lows are really fun. I love seeing the difference in parts because I do all my own work and want to know if it's worth spending the extra cash. I would say keep doing the main channel stuff but that is just me. Good luck bro.
Hey Evan, new fan here. I saw the pack and harness you are wearing here, and I thought I went out and got what you had....thought wrong and now I can't find the video from the inspiration... I ended up getting the MSR low profile hydration pack and then the USWE chest harness. But apparently they aren't exactly compatible. What are the chances you can share the right pack and chest harness with a new fan?
There is no off season in the mtb world ,,, not in the far north since we dig out our fat tire bike's and giver... 365 day's any where and every where... Stick to your basics and share the passion... keep up the good work and enjoy what you're doing Evan... Cheers from the North Don
YO EVAN! love your vids btw ❤. Would love to see you review the Trek Slash Gen 6. There are lots of pro riders reviewing it but no normal people. Would love to hear your opinion !
Hey Evan love your channel, been watching since the vitus mythique days and bought one myself a few years back. Suggestion for hi low: try Formula suspension, been running them for a year now and there is nothing better
So Evan, I appreciate your efforts in your channels. I watched your steel vs aluminum and that is great content. Your training video channel is good too.my honest opinion is trying videos are interesting but only to apoint. I too try to ride 4 to 6 hours a week, I'm 67. I think you could incorporate your training videos into your main channel and that way keep a balance to both and have only one channel. I like to see your training progress but not every workout session. You motivate me alot but would like to see a balance on your main channel and that would be easier for your. Just a thought. Thanks.
Good video mate, I prefer you just talking normally rather than your Evan persona. I don’t respond well to your biking dude. Much prefer a more rounded intelligent character. The bike looked awesome but Bentonville is lovely.
@@mcndjxlefnd tbh not much point in strict z2 if your volume is under 8-10 hrs/week. You have enough recovery to mostly ride tempo/threshold, with maybe 1 recovery ride per week. The benefits of Z2 start to kick in when you're hitting 12-15 or more hrs per week.

Nice to see you back on this channel. I'm ok with one or two videos a week for this channel. I rather see outdoor stuff than trainer for sure.
Thank you for the video Evan, I've been missing the training vids ☹

Hi. I love your videos, so I am wondering why you don't have a link to your other channel.
Headed to BVille this weekend. Can you tell me what trails you were riding? I didn't hear you announce them. Thanks!
I haven't been to Bville in months. Dragon Scales looks like its had some love since I was last there. It was pretty blown out last time I was there.

Why are you afraid to get your heart rate above 130? You’re a young man right.
He's been doing targeted heart rate zone training.
