Doni, I searched up if worms have tails, and even though it didn’t give me a direct answer, it said that the pale side is the tail and the darker side is the head. Earthworms can detach their tail if a predator has gotten their tail, and their tail is called a Posterior. Google: Worms have 5 hearts . . . . . ❤
I did a worm dissection earlier this week and it looks like it’s coming in handy, the pale side is just the ventral side of the worm, the darker side being the dorsal said. It’s darker as it gets more sun than the ventral side. The long part behind the clitellum (the bulging ring near the head of an earth worm) is referred as a tail even though it’s more just a body, all it has in it are the intestines and the anus at the end, and ofc nerves and veins.
