I can’t believe the airport didn’t help you when you could tell them exactly where it was! That is Unacceptable! You are very patient! How were that girl and guy (the other travellers) able to help find it?

I know, so annoying that they didn't answer the phone at AMS. The girl just texted me, my number is on the bag tag. But she left the airport before I texted her back. But then I knew that the bag was at the baggage claim area. The guy was going to Amsterdam to locate his bags as well, so he helped me and delivered it to the ground personell there. (He was still missing one bag, but got 4 back on that trip).

I’m never flying with this airline. Yikes.

I notice that you bag has many baggage sticky tags on it from previous trips. This may be one of the reasons that it got lost. It is best to remove all these old tags so that the only one on the bag is for your current journey. This makes it much easier to identify if it gets lost. Also take a photo of your bag just prior to your trip so you can show it to the airline if it gets lost.

I know that this could be harder to identify my bag, but this trip was during the meltdown in AMS just after covid. There were a lot of bags that didn't go further after AMS, due to shortage of baggage handlers. Was a lot of people on my flight that didn't get their luggage for weeks.

When you flew from Bali to AMS, was it with SAS? How long was your connection at AMS?

Singapore Airlines from DPS to SIN, then SIN to AMS with Turkish. 9 hours connection in AMS, before AMS-OSL with SAS, so plenty of time to get the bag on the plane :p

Hi! My luggage is lost! Similar to you, I have an AirTag but the airline isn’t helping. Is there anything else you could do since you know where the luggage is? How did you also realised that it is in Amsterdam? From the AirTag or the airline? ): mine is in Lisbon Portugal

The airline didn't know anything about my status of the bag, so it was the AirTag that helped me. I got a number from the airline to the baggage handling company, but they didin't answer when I called. It was a random person sending me a WhatsApp message, that I knew it was in the baggage claim area. Then a nice guy on a frequent flyer forum contacted me and said he was going to AMS and could check the bag in for me.

it's funny how every 20 minutes there is an announcement: don't leave your bag unattended, but then leave your bag at the bag claiming area for 26 days. At this moment one has to ask, if one has to be stupid to work at an airport.

First of all, you should have removed all the stickers before checking in. Thats why your bag lost. Maybe blame it to yourself tho.

Well, have never been a problem before, and all four of us lost it, they didn’t have any stickers 🤷
