She is experiencing depersonalization, a psychotic illness and she is trying to make the best of the situation. I also once experienced derialization out of a drug trip, it is a shitty state but you experience so much color
What is there to fall for? She's a genuinely mentally ill person, who's been in an institution for a majority of her life, and her obsession was so extreme, that she was recognized by the media.
