    You know you're dealing with a professional when he uses the pavement as his work bench, hoses the whole thing down with tap water including all the electronics, and just spray paints the whole thing (including the underside of the speakers that you'll never see for some reason...) without any sanding or primer like the paint will magically stay on there! This guy is a true professional ...magician!

    It takes a miracle to come upon such a miraculous unit. And it looks like this guy has used multiple miracles. Or he has tried a million of these excavations. Isn't it a lovely idea that we have a million keyboards buried in a countryside like this? ✨

    Yep, of course you can diagnose and repair a digital micro controller board with surface mount IC's using a cheap multimeter in continuity mode !! And nothing fixes muddy and soaked speakers quite like black gloss spray paint !! Genius here !! P.S. If you believe this you'll believe anything..

    • @tedraven9214

      Yup. The dirt is sprayed on so obviously. Vinyl does not rust. And it is not even an electric piano but a cheap portable keyboard. Electric pianos are completely different instruments.

      nothing to a speaker. it would easily clean up and work if fully dried.

    • @halfpickle
      @halfpickle 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      That's not what he was doing. He was just checking to see if the contacts to the keys are still connected to the board (they're printed on with carbon paste and if they're bad you can fix them with windshield heater repair compound or conductive paint.) How do I know? I've done it a dozen or so times, myself. Also, while I wouldn't vouch for the longevity of cheap speakers submerged in water (if the enamel on the internal coil is bad anywhere, it'll corrode out, the glue that holds the wires to the cone might weaken, etc.) they're electromechanical devices. They don't go instantly bad from getting wet.

    Being an electronic engineer it is my passion to restore electronic items and I do wash certain items like pcb, ICs etc in water. But it is extremely difficult for me to digest that LCD screen and speakers worked perfectly even after washing under running tap water :).

      As an engineer you should probably see it's recorded in reverse. They start with a second hand device, clean the parts that were already clean, then make it dirty and clean it again. They just playback the thing in reverse. All devices finally end up in the water near his home for the first scene.

      @Rodena Borisova Skordinova You have no damn idea what gets picked out of our city river during annual cleanups. Let alone, what will never see the surface again because it would just be too expensive to clean all areas thoroughly. And I live in a fairly small city(compared to cities in other countries or even on other continents) in central Europe.

    Ótimo vídeo! Parabéns pela restauração!!! 🥰 Tenho um teclado PSR-510 da Yamaha que possui o sistema de teclas igual a esse e gostaria de saber como fazer para trocar somente as teclas. Algumas literalmente quebraram e preciso tirar, restaurar e devolver. Tenho que tirar essa placa e as borrachas de trás para poder soltar as teclas velhas e colocar as novas? Por cima não estou conseguindo. Se alguém puder me ajudar!! Obrigada! 😊🙏🏽✨

    This, like so many other "found item restoration" videos, is totally faked. It's basically done in reverse. They start out with a working product, film it working, then disassemble it, and film the reassembly. Finally, they cover it in mud, and put it out in the field and film the discovery and cleanup scenes. This one was really laughable. You don't hose down electronics like that without first disassembling them. The speakers, LCD, and many other parts would not survive that. Also soaking the speakers in water would distroy the cones, which are paper. The random checks on the circuit board with an ohmmeter without any schematic to refer to, and the random re-soldering would not fool anyone who understands electronic repair.

    Every time I ride to the store I go over a bridge and I see this Yamaha CS-80 forty feet below in the saltwater. Got her home and restored it 8 hours later. All the delicate parts were happy that it was back in the studio and all was beautiful. I went to the hardware store but really there was nothing special it needed so I got myself some taco bell and went home.

    Просто до слёз... Кто-нибудь, объясните нашим азиатским друзьям, почему нельзя мочить електронику даже без подачи рабочего напряжения. Расскажите им, что такое коррозия и как она сочетается с электронной начинкой сложной техники. Иначе эти чудесные ремонты при помощи автомойки не закончатся никогда. И да, конкретно тут слишком уж палевно они провели "обратную реставрацию" путем съемки сначала рабочего инструмента, а потом его засирания в хлам. Даже не попытались изобразить процесс "реставрации" а тупо разобрали засратый аппарат, а собрали новый, еще до "состаривания" в промежутке воткнув пару кадров где в тазике полоскают этот многострадальный пластик... Про реставрацию мокрых динамиков при момощи баллончика с черной краской тут уже писали.... это просто ШЕДЕВР )))) Халтурят с каждым разом все больше и больше.
