I typically use the Farmet Softer 11 PS. That's the sweet spot disc in my experience, big enough to get the job done, but not so ridiculously huge that i need anything insane for it.
It is probably what i would also consider the "sweet spot" disc. Of course that's just considering the stock maps. Once any super massive grain farm maps get added or modded in, the largest will be the go to for anyone playing them.
The dramatic differences here do a great job to demonstrate why so many farmers get a big tractor to do their tillage. It's just way too time consuming to do it small.
Yep, don't want to be wasting all your planting window on tillage, and on top of that, the more time you spend in the field, the more you wear out your equipment, and the more likely you are to breakdown mid job.
I love a good discing down. Nothing else works to get me that excited.
That is good to know. I will certainly keep that in mind going forward.
Awesome video! I really enjoyed this a lot.
I'm happy to hear it. Glad to have provided you with even a little entertainment.

These work well for when I'm deciding on what to buy,lol
Well, i'm glad they're a somewhat useful resource.
I personally think you should have started with the tiny one. Would have been funny for you to sit through that.
It would have been rough. that would have taken an incredible amount of time on these fields.
I don't really disc. I use a combination of moldboard plowing and a field cultivator.
That's fair. I will somtimes do the same with a subsoiler, but to use the biggest one you need a lot of horses.

The powerchain is a weird enigma. Probably the best value for money and horsepower, but weird.
Yeah, but you can also plant grass with it, if you want.
