    Seems like a sketchy profession. While I was climbing the Nose in Yosemite, I saw a base jumper fall to her death. She had hired a guide who jumped after her, but had no way to save her. It seems like she fainted after jumping. The guide was charged with manslaughter and was in the Yosemite jail. I reported the death to the rangers and ended up having to give a statement to the police as to what I saw. Charging the guide with manslaughter was a little harsh, but I think guides should have civil liability, at least, when their clients die doing dangerous things.
