    Please correct me if I'm wrong. I have heard from sources claiming that after urinating/defecating one can clean themselves by wiping with dry substances (such as toilet paper) at least three times or more. And this process is called istijmar. So, even though cleaning with water is recommended (istinja), istijmar is also enough, especially in situations where water is not available.

    I used to suffer with OCD a long ago but Alhamdulillah am fine now, still I'm confused with one thing. When we're done with urinating there's always a probability that some droplets of urine may still remain in the urethra or the inside tube of p*nis, so I simply pressed the area 5-10 times but it often caused my hands to get in touch with the urine.... So how do I solve this issue???? Is just waiting after urination and doing ablution is enough or we really need to press the area ??

      @@Exxiine first you have to ensure whether the problem you're facing is actually a medical issue or just an OCD, if it's a physical concern than you certainly have to consult a doctor but if it's an OCD that means everything's fine and you're Just like others but it has got no solution other than strengthening your will.

    Wiping 3 times with tissue is sufficient if I’m not mistaken

    • @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy
      @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the tissue is dry and tahir (ritually pure) you may wipe as much as needed to make sure there is no more feaces. The recommended (mustahab) amount of wiping is 3 times but using 3 different pieces. If you are still not pure while using 3 pieces then one can use as much as needed to remove the najasa (impurities).

      Does this mean that water is not needed for tahara or this is a rule when water is not available.@@IslamicLessonsMadeEasy

    • @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy
      @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zahranaqvi4172 Salam,
      There are two ways to purify the bottom:
      First, wash it with water until the impurity is removed, and then it is not necessary to wash it any more.
      Second, clean the impurity with three pieces of clean stone or cloth and the like, and if the impurity is not completely removed with three pieces, clean it completely with other pieces, and instead of three pieces, you can use three parts of one piece of stone or cloth.
      Of course, note that if the stool has reached a part other than the anus, or if anus has become najis due to contact with with blood or other impurity, it is only purified with water, and it cannot be purified with cloth and the like.
      As for the urinary outlet, it becomes pure only with water.

    2.If one uses tissue(purposely) and then puts water on the part does the person remain tahir?
    3.What is the purification process if a person becomes najis due to urine? Is just to wash the lower part of the body properly?

    • @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy
      @IslamicLessonsMadeEasy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Salam,
      Using tissues by mistake or purposely is fine for the urinary outlet as long as you make it pure with water after.
      The process is to remove all visible urine first either with tissues or water. And then either perform istibra before this step or after. Make sure there is no urine visible otherwise you will have to remove the najasa. And then wash it with water once or twice depending on the water used.
      For istibra you can follow the link - www.sistani.org/english/book/48/2124/
