- In this camping trip, me and stella went to the river at a campground. It has a boat ramp and rest rooms. We cooked the best ever Campsite Beef Stew. Even though several storms came through and we had to sleep in the truck, it was an adventure we will never forget. #campfirecooking #scavengerhunt #camping #fun #adventure #castiron #castironcooking
Tony I enjoyed this video. When I camp I use cotton balls with Vaseline petroleum jelly on them. I keep some In a baggie and keep in my camping box. They are a great fire starter you will love them it works in light rain too. Next time walk us around and show us the area . Nice to see you enjoying yourself. ❤
@@nickieyoung2251 that’s a great idea. I found it in my toolbox and grabbed it. I will. It’s beautiful there too.
Your Campfire Beef Stew looks delicious 😊 I love cooking in my iron cookwear❣️
@@JoanWilliamson-d1i it was fun and it’s cooks different. It seems to heat evenly. I have a really big Dutch oven that I cooked chili in for the channel. But it would feed an army.
Now that’s an adventure Tony lol. Glad you and Stella had fun and the stew looking awesome!
@@sueratliff3687 it was amazing. I don’t do that kind of cooking enough.
No better place to eat than out in nature! It just tastes so much better.
@@susandixon3970 it was really good and it was nice getting away from the farm for a little while
I love how you take care of Sella. What awesome doggie dad. Love my cast iron over 100 years old.
@@Sandra-qt4wr thats amazing. Cast iron last forever
That stew looked yummy! It's nice you got the heads up on the weather!! Little Foot was looking out for you😊. Good luck to the treasure hunters!!
@@edierice5233 thank you. She always looks out for me
That stew looks amazing! What a great setup you've got for "roughing it smoothly"! Extra bonus... you've got Catherine watching the radar as your weather wingman 😅 Y'all enjoy!
@@AdventureswithMeandT thank goodness. It rained really bad around 8 and midnight
@CampfireCountryside that happened to us when we were camping in the Rockies in Colorado... no radar or cell phones so we got drenched... we were on a hill and the water ran right down into the tent, flooded us out, soaked all of our clothes and sleeping bags (the old fashioned kind that weighed a ton 😀), washed away our food, etc. Not the best trip but it beat sitting on the couch! 😀
@@AdventureswithMeandT now that’s an adventure. A little scary but one heck of an adventure
Love the tong popping. Means you are excited about your cooking.
I joined a few weeks ago from Chestnut Hills and today I watched 6 of you longer videos to try and get you to 1000 hrs I will try to watch the rest in the upcoming week. I hope your goal is reached this week. I watch G&G, Cog Hill Farm, and Chestnut Hills .... I hope we can get you to your Viewing goal soon. 1.97k subscribers fantastic.
@@SuzanneScordo-ez2xn I know, it’s crazy. I appreciate you come over and I’m glad you are helping us reach our goals.
Hi Tony and Miss Stella, I came over from Coghill Farms recommendation and so far I sure am enjoying your channel so far. I thimk it is great that you are doing the scavenger hunt. Good luck everyone. I love all the tips and trick and cooking. Please tell Mrs. Katherine hi fom Iowa. I almost forgot I also like your camping part of your video's. 😊
@@gaylegoeschel9850 it’s really fun and everyone seems to enjoy it. My whole channel is about people getting out and getting active. This is something active that people can do. A reason to get off the couch
Yes sir looking mighty good!....you guys eat like i do 1 bite for me 1 bite for the pups....cant stand to see those eyes when im eating.....so ive learned to eat with my eyes closed 😂...however whenever i do my meal disappears and the pups all run away quickly.....guess ill never know why 😅
@@MrPick71 all you can do is look away. I screamed lol
I came over from cog hill and chestnut hills 😊looking forward to seeing your adventures

I truly love all my cast iron
@@carolewing3430 I do too. The Dutch oven is a great piece.
I have to thank Jason @Cog Hill Farm for directing me your way. I Love to camp. It is the cooks right to click those tongs like they are Mexican castanets! 😂
@@bevycrockr8532 I can see right now that we’re going to be great friends. I don’t realize I do it until I play it back. lol
Some of the most memorable camping trips we've had is when we were hit by thunderstorms. As my hubby and I were watching this, he said...remember camping at Dworshack? Just as we finished setting up our tent, it poured and poured and poured. Lots of lightning too. But, we survived and stayed dry in the tent. Love the adventure of camping!
@@cheriwaller7598 that’s awesome. I’m not sure how water tight the cot tent is so I waited before setting it up. We slept in the truck. It’s was a blast. So, what is the Dworshack. I could google it but this is how we all get to be part of each other’s TH-cam family.
@@CampfireCountryside That tent was our first tent, a very small dome type tent. But, it had a great fly that kept water out, thankfully. Dworshack Is a beautiful lake/reservoir in North Idaho. Takes a bit to get there as it is out in the middle of nowhere. But, beautiful scenery, good fishing, and lots of wildlife.
@@cheriwaller7598 that is awesome. I’ve never been to Idaho but I’ve heard it’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing with me. I hope y’all are doing well. Thanks again for watching the video.
That was fun! I love your camping adventures with Stella 😊
@@ILiveLoudly thank you my friend. I’ve found a new place to go on goggle maps that open to the public. If you don’t mind me asking, what state are you in
Good stuff, Tony!
@@Jeff-v8o thanks my friend. It was a lot of fun
Tony you need some of that Cog Hill cornbread to go with that stew.
@@carlnichols5255 I agree. That would of been nice
New to your channel. Jason's gonna love the Dutch oven. ❤
@@christineprobst3258 I have a couple and I’m going get him one cleaned up and ready. It will be a surprise for him.
Hope stella is staying hydrated too🙃
@@joanneraphael6884 she is I don’t normally let her get to hot. I keep her plenty of water out. Thank you being part of our channel as it grows.
I baked scones in my dutch oven every day for weeks. Our town and area had a very bad ice storm. No electricity for weeks. In the middle of winter. I cook with my cast iron pan for years.
@@georgiapetty8140 that is amazing. Thanks for sharing. What state are you messaging from. I’m not sure if Georgia is your name or the state. But I’m glad you are part of campfire and countryside.
At the time of the ice storm I lived in Arkansas. My house burnt down 2012 because it was hit by a bolt of lightning. So I moved close to son.
Really enjoyed your video!
@@carolynpotter2769 thank you my friend
The stew looks good have you tried packs of brown gravy mix it with water an it will be so good an add favor to it I use it on all my meat dishes

See oddly this video didn't show up for me, only the shorts did....had to refresh 3x....watching now then bed! Gotta fix my neighbors doorbell and porch swing in the morning (in exchange for bacon and eggs)
@@MrPick71 I already like your neighbor and your plan.
Tony, enjoying your short videos … one thing tho … you are putting your fingers on the camera microphone, causing loud noises. Keep on learning! Enjoy!
I’ve seen Brooke make cornbread in a skillet so I guess you just need to worry about the Dutch oven. This just popped up for me and I know Zoë already found one.
Thanks to jason at cog hill for telling me about your page love an miss camping haven't done it since my husband passed 14 years ago. But I live on Weiss lake in cader bluff Alabama
