Would love to see a "How to film a wedding reception" solo as well as with a second shooter! For some reason this is my biggest headache right now, I keep thinking I need to change something about my set up!
Love this! You got me inspired to keep practicing multicam set ups. I have a question, when do you find the time to set all your cameras up? Do you plan with the couple or the planner the time you need to step away and head to the ceremony location and if so, how much time do you ask for to be able to set up?
So, I ALWAYS have a 24-70 on a gimbal and a 70-200 on a tripod with me at all times. That leaves the other 3 cameras to be set up. The bride was getting ready right on the other side of the property, so I set up my cameras and left the 3 of them on tripods underneath the tree that's in this video (where the DJ was set up). The rest of my gear was set up underneath a tent that was about 200 yards away. I set up those 3 cameras a few hours before the ceremony ever happened and then grabbed them/placed them about 20 minutes before the ceremony happened. I have bts of it from someone who was with me but I haven't gotten around to editing it :)
Pretty awesome. Been watching your videos and thinking a lot. Gonna run m4/3 on a 42-175 and a 12-40 on a gimbal is all I have for a 2 cam setup. Wish me luck! Haha love All the angles.
It took me about 4 years into it to even try a 4th camera. And every time I get super stressed filming with lots of cameras, seeing the footage and editing it always reminds me of why I do crazy things like this. I ran 6 + a drone at today’s wedding. Totally worth it
@@filmandflourish You are the man! 80% of my wedding ceremonies are 5 - 10 minutes long. If you count the walk down the aisle, they are 10 - 15 minutes long. I can't imagine deploying a drone and manning three cameras during the short ceremonies that I typically cover.
Dude, you are wild running all those angles solo. I respect it. 😊

naw bruh had 4 camera angles and a drone up while solo 😭 i could never
5 camera angles and a drone haha 😅😅
3 camera during the ceremony is my limit. Anything more and my quality takes a hit.

@@filmandflourish Dude you’re a wild man. Your clients and your edits benefit though. 😃
