A lot depends on the doctor..

@@Raging-j9j well i think it comes in handy for radiologist initially...but AI might get better in the future and there's a probability that radio might become like biochem where u just hv to check and sign the reports..
But superspeciality like interventional radiology might come up with lots of seats...
And life style, work life balance etc everything we know will be the same except the salary cuz initially post residency they give u in btwn 2.5 to 3.5L per month and later go up till 4 or 5 and that's it! It'll become saturated unless u have ur own diagnostic centre...if it clicks, trust me u can earn millions..but it has it's pros and cons too...pros are money obviously 🤑 and cons would be managing the center along with buying some expensive machines! And paying emi for those machines will take forever..so that's my take on radio😬

    Sir
Surgeon works for pre operative work up, takes care of the patient in post op periods and also manage the patients in remote post operative period. Also the decision whether to take patient for surgery, a correct indication is also a surgeon’s call and responsibility. Clearly we cannot simply compare the number of hours spent in the OT between surgeon and anaesthetist.

Pathology is neither comfortable nor a 9 to 5 job! Work life balance is out in path too. It's just that you have fewer night calls. So you get a good night's sleep. That's it. But then money is also lesser. Pathologist starts day at 7.30 if there's frozen section to attend to.

If you have money take it or better take loan & get a private seat a branch of your choice. I'm sure you'll earn back 50 lakhs around 4 to 5 years surely. Many General candidates are doing that only. It's absolutely useless to do bond of 2 or 3 years by joining a Govt college for less than 10k rank.

And its wrong to make that 35k/5k comparision between surgeon and anaesthesiologist bcz anaesthesia guys have lots of options to choose from. Most of them choose C/S which gets over in 20 min and pays them 2k. Overall pay is much better than path and also you get the satisfaction of being in a clinical branch.
