46:12 - im not trying to be an ass but im thinking that the Roush organisation weren't as committed to Burton as they were making out. Mark Martin was never going to get let go then, Kenseth was the defending champion, Kurt was starting to win a lot of races (altho i can't remember if in 2004 they really thought he was ready to win the championship), and Biffle was the first to win any championship for the Cat in the hat - let alone 2 - so he was going nowhere. I understand that it takes millions to run a single car, let alone 2,3,4 or 5! And there was some young guy who was starting to make a big impression on Roush. At a guess it was between 10 and 15 races later and the 'Mayor' was behind the wheel of the RCR #30 car? And i think it was planned all along. The only guy who wasn't told was poor Jeff Burton.. We can add to that the whole Nextel/Sprint versus AT&T deal and say that Jeff had some crappy luck with sponsorship. I dunno where that rant came from. Thanks for another awesome upload! Stay safe.
@@matthartleyjr9180 just out of curiosity, when did Jack Daniels and Jim Beam sponsor cars? Im guessing Jim Beam came after Burton took over the #31, because Jim Beam was with Robbie Gordons #7 i think?
Jack and JB joined in 05, as that would be the first season you could run hard liquor as a primary sponsor. Smirnoff Vodka did sponsor both Geoff Bodine and Matt Kenseth in 02 and 03 in select races

Maybe but NASCAR rejected a hard liquor sponsor for them so Jack did what he could then

@@MrMiD.Life.Crisis yes Jim Bean joined Robby when he was on his own if I recall correctly it never was with him at RCR during those days
