Brother DCP-L2530DW Toner Cartridge & Drum Installation - How to Fit It

- Quick video showing you how to install the toner cartridge and drum in the Brother DCP-L2530DW all-in-one wireless laser printer. It's a relatively compact printer and is reasonably priced (I bought this one for £140 in April 2021).

The 'starter' toner in that comes in the box says it's good for 700 prints (depending on % coverage), so you'll soon want to install a replacement toner cartridge. The drum is rated for 12,000 pages! In the video I show you how to install the toner cartridge and drum into the printer.. it's very straight forward!
When replacing just the toner cartridge, you pull the whole unit out, unclip the toner cartridge portion & push in the replacement, then put the whole thing back in the printer.
I'm hoping that using 3rd party toner will work just as well as it does in the Brother HL-L2375DW I own.. I'll report back as this one gets some use by our grandparents. The unboxing of the HL-L2375DW is here; • Unboxing the Brother H...
The 3rd party toner I've used in my Brother HL-L2350DW without any issues is here amzn.to/2QPpB3k - I can't guarantee they'll work with the DCP-L2530DW, nor that Brother haven't updated the firmware to detect them, but they worked fine for me & I currently have one installed and working. Worth a go.. since you get 2x for about £30, and you can return them if they don't work.

Thank you so much, my new one was a bit tricky. Couldn't open that part, didn't think it could be opened and subsequently couldn't find the proper opening. Manual was with a different type of printer so more than useless. Now it fits 😂

Well yeah there isn't a normal USB port? Wlan doesn't want like I want so I still have work to do 😆

Yes it's working now, thanks. I don't know if a have such a USB cable, I'll have to do some digging. I always had brother ink printers before and love their long life. They have never given me such a hard time 😆
Yeah, I love our Brother laser.. it’s been great to be able to use it periodically without worrying the ink will be dried out & won’t work properly.
Tip: if you put in a brand new cartridge, and it rejects it 10 X, and you know you're doing it right, don't throw the /&%$%·" cartridge at your wall. It WILL send printer dust flying everywhere ; )

Can you recommend a 3rd party cartridge and how to bypass brother asking for the chip or reset tonner etc. Thank you

@@Endpoint101 hi, I just got this printer and was exploring the options of a cheap cartridge. Did you have any issues in the just year using the one from Amazon?
The ones I’ve linked to above have been great.. no problems at all & can’t tell the difference between them & the original cartridge that came with the printer.
