My daughter raised popcorn this summer for her FFA project. A grain cleaner is out of the question for her budget. Saw your video and I have hope that we will be able to modify your great idea just a little bit and create our own homemade grain cleaner! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this!
Think using a tumbler (used to clean brass) would work? I've used that under a stacked 4" PVC with tiered coarse to fine from top to bottom. Flour gathered at the bottom of the stack. I like this method better, but thinking the tumbler base would work to vibrate the screen. Thanks for sharing!
No. I see where one shot in the video makes it look like it could be a problem but it really isn’t. That said, it would be easy to do. I have bought pneumatic vibrators to go on the screens. We will see how that works. Thanks for watching.
@@davidyoungg yes. I bought a small little pneumatic vibrator off Amazon and I attach one to every shaker screen (they are cheap) and it works pretty well without me having to tie up my hands. You need a decent air compressor though.
Thanks for the idea. I have since started using small pneumatic vibrators screwed to the screens and it seems to work great. I haven’t used the sieves much since I installed them but need to do some grinding and update the video.

Wow, thanks to you, I enjoyed watching... I'm proud of you for developing day by day.

That’s an interesting idea. It might. I do think the high frequency vibration really works well for sifting though.
A lot of work for the build...But the final product looks awesome! Now, did you add a screen to the top to stop the jump over?

Have you came up with a better way yet? I need to make one myself

what a great idea. i have been looking all over for the right size sieve and haven't had any luck. do you like those sizes?
Yes I do. I am going to be grinding some this weekend. I am going to try and make another video. Thanks for watching.
Nice !!!
Thank you!
What make and model is the red grinder there?
Grain Maker 116.
a small electric motor with an off center drilled center hole to rub the side or bottom of the screen would vibrate it and not as much noise

Are you getting 3 grades there, flour , grits and something else?
One grits and one flour. The rest go to the chickens.
😂 gotcha. The chicken gotta get too!
Not a fan of grits. But I shore do like some beans and cornbread.
Care to do a video on that grinder?
It is in my list to do. I am just getting back to trying to do some more videos so keep an eye out. Thanks for commenting.
