    Hi Josh, Is it okay then to do dsg tune later on? On their site it says that dsg tune is required for stage 2. Thanks!

    Funny thing is when my DSG and ECU tune. The DSG in 6th gear down shift into 4th in a second when I push the peddle to the floor. Which strikes me odd that it can do that on the same gear shaft.

    • @JoshsJettas
      @JoshsJettas  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I noticed that as well the more I drive it, a very quick smooth shift straight from 6th to 4th

    Can you show some block 11 logs on the TDI? Fighting overboost and would like to see a tuned graph of someone not overboosting. How much psi of boost are you pushing?

      I’ve read about cold air intakes helping the “ramp up” of the turbo, and smoothening out the tail end. S&B was the brand of cold air box. Can’t remember the video I seen of it, I’ll try to find it.

    No ability to turn off traction control on this 12 passat tdi

      A good set of tires goes a long ways, my alh is useless on stocks 1-3 but with better tires it atleast makes 2nd useable. Is there not a kit for the nms Passat to install a traction control button?

      @austineverett5463 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m currently on Continental extreme contact sports and they hook up so good. Look forward to the extra power and torque of stage 3+. USP motorsports makes a traction control kit for the NMS Passat. But it has to be coded in through VCDS. I have my button ran through my console right next to the gear selector.

      @@austineverett5463 that should be fun, I wanted to just get a simple cr170 turbo for this car but I already had a spare engine/trans that came with a turbo so I couldn’t justify the extra money. I’m looking into another cr car to play with that’s not my wife’s daily.

      I’ve done videos both with MR Tuning and tunezilla, I’d recommend both. The 2015’s require a specific coolant line as well so you have to make sure the delete pipe comes with that as well.

      I had planned on it, when I was getting this car together I spent more then planned doing maintenance stuff so it got put on the back burner. That was part of the reason I went with MR Tuning is the stage 2 didn’t require a dsg tune.

    Stag 0.5 no DSG tune. I find people who go high stage, big turbo blow the trans, manual, clutch and DSG.... No thank you. It's not a race car it is a diesel, which is to be economical and reliable.

    • @JoshsJettas

      @@JoshsJettas.. LAUNCH? Nuff said. You reap what you sow. You will no doubt, wear out, tires, clutch, DSG, break parts LAUNCHING stock or "tunes"? There is no debate,. I have seen MANY "tuned" mod TDI's broken the same way. I made my point.
      All the higher tunes are optimized for DPF/EGR delete, some larger CR170 Turbo as well.
      Stage 0.5 +21HP +16 ft/lb
      Stage 1.0 +27HP +56 ft/lb Launch Cont'l
      Stage 2.0 +35HP +72 ft/lb CR170 Turbo
      Stage 3.0 +51HP +84 ft/lb
      Yes tune, mod for track racing (knowing you will break it and pay $$$$ but it's a hobby). For daily car to drive? Bad idea. I want my car to last, be reliable and efficient. I don't love changing clutches, DSG's or tires prematurely. No Free Lunch. You can not stress the car and not expect any consequences. If "LAUNCHING" is your thing, up to you. Cool. My point is clear you will likely pay for your hot rodding of a VW TDI.

      I went 2 on my Jetta manual. Replaced the clutch at 206,000 miles because the dual mass was dead. Car now has over 230,000 miles on the original turbo. If you drive the car like you want to get good mpg, it'll have no additional wear over the lower HP tune, because you're not using that additional power. It's just nice to have it there when you need to pass someone.
