This is the time when you have beautiful early summer days and we (@the med) have beautiful late summer days :) Please take care when dealing with old stuff from the 70th or earlier. They used asbestos, mercury, lead and many more nasty things. Mercury was also used for thermometers in old water heaters, so think about it before cutting thin copper pipes. You need to know and learn a lot when dealing with scrap.

Again a great day scrapping. You need to have a lunch bag with snacks and drinks hidden away in your vehicle. If you see artist gear (in the tool chest you saw) pick it up as some things can sell for a lot on facebook marketplace etc..

I was going to say, that water heater required another set of hands, not so much because of the weight, but for the sake of leverage, because of that stupid metal board affixed to it. { Stupid, then, because it was making loading extremely awkward. Not so stupid when it was in use, as it facilitated easier wall placing.]. And those extra set of hands did present.

Hey Poly for us stupid Americans up here could you explain what these markers are sticking out of the ground right next to your first appliance you picked up there's one with a letter h on the top of it when you picked up a dishwasher all by itself there was another one laying beside a tree I was just wondering what they're for and what they represent you know they're definition is.
I believe that post is for the fire department. There’s a cap on the ground that they can access water. There’s also blue road markers leading up to them. Sometimes there’s purple posts. They indicate recycled water access I’m pretty sure.

I think that he could lift it, per se, but it was a matter of getting it onto the trailer in a particular way because of that stupid backboard attached to it, plus it was round and slippery.
