Still waiting for a good discount on this year's cars, so I can't say anything about those yet. So far my personal Top 5 are: 1. Huracan 76899 2. Tributo 76895 3. Countach 76908 4. Ford GT 76905 5. Jesko 76900 Speed Champions have been such a breath of fresh air. It is always such a treat to sit down and build one of these masterpieces. Of course, we all have our favorites. I am mostly drawn to supercars. The Tributo and Huracan are so high on my list because they were the first two modern Speed Champions sets I built. Those sets made such an impression on me. I was totally in awe; both for how good they looked as well as how intricate and beautiful the building process was. I had the same feeling with the Countach, but it was less of a shock for obvious reasons.
Definitely a good top 5. Speed champs is what got me back into the Lego hobby. I just hope Lego keeps this theme going with the rising cost of licensing from the auto manufacturers. Only time will tell. This years cars are great btw, the building techniques and new pieces make for outstanding builds.
Yeah, I was more referring to the 8 wide cars. I really wasn’t into collecting during the 6 wide era tbh. I have two 6 wide cars and they just don’t hit like the 8 wides in my opinion. Would love to get some updated Ferrari sets with lifts and stuff in the 8 wide.
My favourite speed champions cars are the porsche 919 hybrid (the remake) and the porsche 911 rsr and 911 turbo 3.0 two pack. Also, your list and video was really good
I wish I would have picked up some of those sets before they retired, I just started collecting again in early 2020, my first speed champions build was the Audi sport Quattro. Sometimes I wish I started earlier so many great cars in the past. Hopefully they will remake them all in the 8 wide configuration.
I still have to pick that set up before they retire it. I think that is the only set I am missing since 2020. What are your favorite features about the challenger?
@@610Bricks think i have bias towards the car in general but there are nice little details snuck in there and the build was also very enjoyable. Larger and more muscly than the others and the purple colour isnt on any other car
@@mrcactus245 I am definitely keeping my eyes open for it, my dad owned a 2019 grand sport but a pickup truck decided he didn’t need it anymore. Glad he walked away without a scratch.
It’s not the first Formula1 car showcased in speed champions sets. In the first generation 6 studs wide car there were many F1 sets. McLaren, Mercedes, and a couple of Ferrari’s set! But it’s the first in 8 studs wide format ;-) I’ve been collecting speed champions for a while. I don’t have all of them but I wish! Loll
Thank you for the clarification. I just started collecting a few years ago and caught the tail end of the 6 wide cars. I only have the Senna and the 1974 911 turbo. I hope they continue to make more 8 wide f1 cars since they look pretty fantastic!
Keep an eye out in the coming months. Lego might not put them on sale but places like Amazon and some large retailers do to move stock. The Mercedes’ set is is great build definitely worth picking up when you can!
That’s a tough call, I do like the Pagani and also the Ferrari but I will have to wait a year or so before making a new list. They seem to get better and better every year
I never even thought of that, it would make a fantastic set. They already have the licensing for Ferrari and Ford so I don’t see why it couldn’t happen one day. Ken Miles and Carol Shelby as exclusive mini figures. Perfection
I have seen one in person at the Philadelphia auto show, not the Jesko but the 1:1 and it is an awesome machine. Full hand built and hand laid carbon fiber chassis.
Thank you. I am just enjoying learning different editing techniques and video ideas. Hopefully the growth will follow one day. Thank you for your continued support!
The new 2023 cars are all contenders for a top 5, do you think I should make an updated list or let it slide a couple of years? Great list btw, thank you for watching
@@610Bricks you should make a list if you think the new cars add something significant to your collection! I personally only got into speed champions this year so I'm biased towards the cars that are currently available for sale, which ends up mostly being the new ones. But I do think they look stunning, it's amazing to see how far the cars have come since the first 8 wides. Your vids are great, keep up the good work!
@@thevishyfishy I started collecting in late 2020 and was primarily focused on speed champions myself but it has blossomed into other Lego theme interests as well. It is amazing how much they change over the years, I am hoping they will release some more this summer. Last year they did two surprise drops in June. Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it.
@@610Bricks I haven't got any of the new sets yet but they look great and I'm always excited to see what they do next. As well I wish you the best on your channel and just life in general.
Your not kidding. Hopefully they will expand their car manufacturing brands. I guess bmw cars aren’t a far stretch since they made the technic motorcycle.
You are correct. Realized that typo not too long ago. Don’t have the original footage anymore to correct it unfortunately. Lost all of my uploads in a software crash

Are you referring to the new set that came out in 2023 or previous cars? If you are referencing previous models they were 6 wide cars and the Mercedes was legos first 8 wide f1 car
truth is they are all awesome

4:57 they did but it was in the 6-wide era and they were weird to day the least

The jaguar set has an f1 thats 8 studs? (from 2020 set)
To lxcas the jaguar is actually a formula e car and was released in 2020
If you put a 2x1 plate on the minifig instead of legs on the F1
car it displays so much better.
Very good idea. Would definitely make the fig sit much lower. Thank you for the tip!
Great video! Nice selection of cars.
My favourite is the Koenigsegg. Still haven’t got the F1 car yet 😩 that’s definitely on my list to get.

Lamborghini countach, Ferrari 512m, audi quattro, Ford bronco, Aston martin db5 probably its my top 5

1 Audi Quattro Rally Car
2 Nissan Skyline
3 Mercedes F1 Race Car
4 Lamborghini Countach
5 Aston Martin DB5

The Jesko was pretty good
I thought it was an excellent build. I was surprised most people didn’t really like it but I was a fan! Awesome user name by the way
Tks LOL
the mercedes benz f1 is very great looking but it is not the first time they make lego speed champion f1
You are correct but it was the first true f1 car in the 8 stud configuration
lego actually made a few f1 cars before this in speed champions including Ferrari and Mercedes from 2015-2017 ish
You are correct, but the Mercedes is the first 8 wide F1 car from Lego. Which do you prefer the 6 wide cars or the 8?
1. 812 Competezione
2. 963 LMDH
3. Huracán Super Trofeo Evo
4. Senna
5. AMG One
Very good list. I have to update this for sure since the 2024 cars are out now. I have yet to build them but I am expecting great things
I see you don't have the F-40, it's one of my favorite 6 wide SC car.
